Northwoods Madison Barlow

The Osage and blue camel bone look good but I think ill still purchase the saw cut or micarta. Any idea when this will be available?

I'm with you archertl. I passed on the osage, and dyed camel bone doesn't appeal to me.

Just grabbed a Cocobolo, some beautiful wood grain in this run. I have wanted a madison specifically in Cocobolo for many moons. Excited!

I did the same. I've been looking at the older 2-blade model, but it looked like the spear would be a little uncomfortable on the hand when the other blade was deployed. I've wanted a Madison for a while now though. Looking forward to getting it in hand.

Same for me too, wanted a single blade Cocobolo for a long time. They all appeared to have gorgeous grain, so i just went with #1. Can't wait to get it! Now just to wait for the next run of Burnsides…..

I just ordered mine. Initially was interested in the cocobolo, but that Osage won me over. I have nothing like it, and to me it has a natural aged/used look. There's no bad choice with this one IMO.

Got my Cocobolo today and I'm extremely impressed. Not only a great design and size, thin and pretty light for it's length, but it's probably the highest quality production traditional i own (even beats the Case/Bose Lanny's clip i also got today). Not a single thing i could complain about, and it even came sharp! Hats off to Derrick and GEC on this one!

Thats good to hear shipwright. I have decided to get one of the sawcut bone ones when they come in stock.

The pics of the sawcut on the GEC site look really nice.

In some respects I wish they were all released at the same time - easier for a newbie like me to compare which handle I like best. Had wanted the black jigged bone, but now not so sure...

I agree i would at least like to see gec's photos of all the covers on the knife before i decide. Some colors and materails seem to look better on certian patterns than others. I know the black water jigged bone is on the build sheet for the MB. However I have not seen pictures of it. I do have a 63 mako with Blackwater jigged bone covers and it looks nice with the blue accents on the ends.

That mako sounds great! Very happy to hear Shipwright's assessment of the quality as well. I only have one GEC knife so far and am very impressed with their build quality, fit and finish et al.

The Madison showed up today. I really like this knife. Fantastic job by Derrick Bohn and the folks at GEC.

So I just saw the denim micarta and the sawcut on GECs site. I really hope to get one of the two.

Just ordered a two blade northwoods TC Madison Barlow in cocobolo from ksf today. My first tradition other than davisons and cases (and the occasional buck 303/373). Can't wait to break this one in on the turnaround I start later this week lol

Anyone else recieve there osage, cocobolo, or green camel bone Madison's? I can't wait for the sawcut to come in stock.

I ordered a pair in cocobolo. Came in Monday - VERY nice!

I would like to pick up a mammoth and a blackwater jig on this run, just waiting for them to pop up. I'm a little concerned about the blackwater though - no pics at all on the GEC site, and they've got a #47 on the front page today....

Are the blackwater's still coming??

I ordered my cocobolo tonight after hearing back from Tyler that they already got all the cocobolo they were going to get in. I was hoping for more curvy grain.
