Northwoods Madison Barlow

Has anyone bought and received one of the Madison's with mammoth scales? They sure look nice but are pricey. Moonpath
I don't have this particular knife with mammoth covers, but I assure you, they are beautiful. The price difference is based solely on the cover material itself, and that goes for all of the various handle cover choices. Ivory is expensive and typically fragile, but it sure is pretty.

Not in hand yet, but this one should be here Friday.

If it's anything like the previous runs, I'm sure it'll be a stunning piece!

The ash blue color made me think it was the green bone.
That is a very unique piece of mammoth ivory.

Mammoth Ivory is pretty resilient, actually.

Beautiful mammoth. Great knife pattern for such an interesting and complex material. Lots of real estate on that handle to show it off!

After seeing the Denim Micarta one I'm on the hunt like a hawk after a field mouse. I missed one a few days ago but I'm wide eyed and bushy tailed now!

Wasn't there a subscript on the denim micarta page, advising that KSF only received a limited supply, but expected more to come? Or am I confusing that with another handle material in this run?

Well don't I feel like a putz...scratch that last comment. I was referring to the Michigan Jack not the Madison. I wish the Madison came in Denim Micarta lol

It did. I was one of the lucky ones who got one. Sold out in only a couple of hours.

Well see...now you just had to go and say that...now I must find one of those as well as the Michigan Jack...darn ;)

They were very nice indeed. Hope they return for those who missed them!

I ended up picking up a nice Cocobolo (presently enroute) as I just couldn't stand waiting for the now unlikely black jigged bone to appear. Now wringing my hands in anticipation for next weeks mail!
