Northwoods Madison Barlow

I wish they would produce them in the Black Water Jigged Bone As well but after getting an email from KSF stating that they will not be producing them I got really bummed out. So I will keep my peepers peeled for a Denim Micarta one.
 
This was waiting for me when I got home tonight. It's a little rough on the edges, but nothing a little 400 grit paper can't fix. It shaves hair out of the pouch! It's on the large size, but I like that..... what a great pattern! Now I want a Cocobolo too..... :o

Didnt mean to rub it in your face! We just needed a picture of the denim in the thread! I'm sure you'll find one, hopefully without a ridiculous markup.

Oh, and make sure to get on the KSF notification list. That's the only way I've gotten a few of the instant sellers.

Lol I was just giving you a hard time. I have found a couple on a certain auction site and they are unbelievably marked up. Sometimes double or more of the retail price. Ok I will get on that list immediately!

Double?! Yikes!!! I hate scalpers. Even if I want a knife really bad, I won't pay too much over its original price. I'd rather save that money for the next knife..... at least we all know that they're going to keep making more knives!

Yes double. There is atleast 2 on there now. One is super high and the other is just high enough that I won't spring for it...especially when I'm currently having a custom made. They will definitely keep making knives...hopefully now I won't lose out on any haha

Well, I wouldn't sit on the fence too long. All of these will be gone within a week or two. I have to say that there really isn't a dog in the bunch this time. I would like to have seen the blackwater jig as well though.
 
I know what you mean but I'd rather find one from a member or another avenue as that is just far to high for it. I was really really hoping for the Black Water Jigged as well.

The denim matches my shed pretty well!

Regarding the prices on the bay - I would never buy from any of those people no matter how badly I want the knife in question. There's a particular knife i've been chasing, selling for over $300 (once saw it listed for over $600!) on the bay often, when I see it on the exchange its usually going for half or less because most of the people I see selling the knife on the exchange aren't trying to make some huge profit. Not to say that there aren't some obvious flippers here, but there are more solid sellers that are also traditional knife enthusiasts here. When i'm ready, I will absolutely be picking up the knife in question from the fine folks on the traditional exchange.

Came like that out of the baggie! (no tube)

It's my first micarta, having never handled one I expected it to feel differently when I held it. It feels very different than what I expected and i'm pretty happy about it, looks like my michigan jack has a competitor for edc now!

Mine looked like that out of the slip (no tubes on Northwoods) but I put some oil on it to darken it a little. It's a fairly rough finish. Very grippy. I like it quite a bit!

Nice knife totallynotalion! My thoughts exactly about the bay.

Thanks! I'm interested to see how it'll wear throughout the years (but not crazy enough to leave it on a tin roof, covered in snow to expedite the process:D!)
 


Ill have to make a new pocket slip for this knife all my others are too small. The n orthwoods slip is nice but doesnt match my boots belt watch band ect. Very pleased with the knife so far.
 
My denim one looks about the same as those shown above; sort of a rough finish, especially on the back part of the handle. I'm almost afraid to touch my mammoth one!
 
So the denim ones are still out there just not easy to find...ugh lol. My eyes are peeled about as wide as they can get. I've been looking and looking for one not on the bay.
