Northwoods Michigan Jack

Hey Rye, thanks for showing your Mammoth knife again. I think you can understand why i thought it is blue bone. I have seen blue Mammoth in customs, but never 100% blue like yours. Are those your own pictures, like you already have the knife ? Maybe you have a plane and you went to pick it up; I would for one so special !
Now i really want to see the others.

I wish I had it in hand! Hopefully by the end of the week...

Thank you MadMaximus. That one really stood out from the other stags to me.
Goes with my Case XX Prime Stag Swayback I think

I would agree! Another great looking blade!

Crazy looking, isn't it? I couldn't resist. It looks like the bolsters on it have been worked down into the stag 'channels', never seen that before.

Has any other stag been posted? I'd like to see more for sure.

Thanks, Erik. It is such an interesting looking wood and it sets off the rustic nature of the Bohncliffe blade.

So I just paypal'd some money to a gentleman down south. I have a Denim Micarta on its way to me finally, can't wait to get it. I saw them all come in, get processed, listed on the site and all fly out the door. Now I get one... maybe tomorrow?!

Congrats Ben! I was really hoping to check one of these out as well but was too late both times. Do you know how many of the denim micarta were made? I am really happy with my bloodwood MJ and have a stag on the way.

I bet it is so busy at KSF that everybody, boss included, would benefit from a few days off. Declare a special "KSF Holiday" for yourselves. Don't worry about us knife addicts. We would rather wait a few extra days than have you all go nuts from stress.
'Cause if ya go knuts then that's one less place (and a great one) for us to get our knife fix.
Take Ben's lead. Daze off for all !

I did take a couple "daze" off, but that isn't why I missed out on the denim micarta. Customers get first crack at em. they sold out at the speed of light. Which is awesome, and now I have one on the way so its ok!

I tried but failed again to get a denim micarta. Keeping my eye on the secondary market for one and I hope KSF uses this material again in the future.

The denim Micarta looks fine but does not do anything special for me like Mammoth, or bone might. Lots of people here obviously really like it, so i'm missing out by not liking it. Ivory Micarta, that does something for me. Now that real ivory seems to be a handle material of the past, we might see some GEC with fine old Westinghouse ivory Micarta ? Good that dealers read these threads because they might ask GEC about this.
Sorry, i diverged from Michigan Jack chat.
