Let me take $550 out of your checking account for several days with nothing in return and see if you change your tune about it.

If you needed the money that badly perhaps you shouldn't have bought the knife in the first place or slowed your purchasing at the onset. You said you spend 6k since you've been here that's $1500 a month take a pause and go play with your knives instead of buying more

As I’ve stated several times already. It’s not the knife and it’s not the money. It’s the principle of the matter. An invisible thing to some it seems nowadays.
The principal of the matter is you appear to be a problem to sell to.

You raised a flag with this mystery seller and now you're put every flag on the book up for everyone else on the site.

Once could be coincidence, but not anymore.

Took the words out of my mouth.

Really? All the sellers who have shipped me knives after paying them immediately would disagree with you. ALL of them shipped to my PO box save one old timer who refused. Fortunately someone was home to receive it. But hey, maybe you’re right. You got me. You sure showed me pal. You are now the winner of the internet today.
Those dang old timers. Really know how to ruin your whole life with their "rules".

But please go on!

If you ship to an address other than the one given by paypal, seller protection doesn't apply. That's the case even if the address shipped to is one of yout other confirmed address. That's why the seller refunded your first payment.

Based on the way you've been posting in this thread, I have a pretty good idea why the seller refunded your second payment.

And for your funds being held, that's entirely paypal's doing. Not the seller.

....Because I argued with his “highness” he decided to refund the second payment making matters significantly worse. And now his “royal court” here all agrees with his lordship.
You haven't even said who "his highness" is yet you want to slam the rest as being on an unnamed man's "royal court"? You're torching every bridge you may later want to cross.

A little history on me, up until last year I knew little of the knife world other than watching forged in fire once in a while. Last year I joined this site and now have about $6000 invested in knives.

And now his “royal court” here all agrees with his lordship. Like I said. Selling off all these knives even if I take a loss. I don’t care. Already have a few members contacting me wanting to buy based on this thread.
Let's see if I have this right.
You jumped into a new hobby to the tune of $6000. A transaction fell through. After a number of posters here disagreed with you as to the extent to which you were inconvenienced, you are no longer interested in the hobby. Okay.

And another lesson is, don't pay for the same thing twice!

No reason not to, if the first payment has been refunded. I've done the same thing, given the wrong address with payment. I just resent, and accepted that the funds from the refunded payment would be back on my account in a few days. The world kept turning, and I got my knife.
