Nut'n Fancy just lost me

The Nut, to me, represents a lot of the things I like (and a lot of things I dislike) about weapon aficionados. It's my personal opinion so I won't discuss further. Objectively, though, the guy knows his stuff, so I watch once in a while.

I'd also like to comment that all the people posting "don't watch him then" is a pretty unproductive thing to say. It makes me curious exactly how this one review made you think he jumped the shark. I feel like he's always been pretty consistent in the way he does his reviews, from tone and style to the fact that he takes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to hammer home a point.
 
I think he does a great job for the most part and puts a lot of time and effort into his videos. :thumbup:

Amen! I think that trying to make some review/informational videos of my own has given me some RICH perspective on videos made by others.

It is really easy to make knife videos. But it is a bit more difficult to make good ones...and is positively challenging to make more than a few without producing the same mundane garbage over and over again.

For these reasons, I do not even bother posting links to my attempts.

The guys that have thousands of subscribers and hundreds of videos know a thing or two about how to do it well. Everyone does not need to like them, but I appreciate it when someone demonstrates respect for their efforts.

I haven't watched one if his vids in a long time. I think he likes to just hear himself talk. I don't know him personally, he may be an alright guy, but I just don't care for his reviews.
 
i got tired of his reviewing style REAL fast; but as another has said, it's a way to see an unknown knife in hand...when i'm researching a potential buy, he and whoever else will get a look...

Don't get me wrong, I agree with a lot of the same ideas NF has about pocket knives.

He lost me long time a go, he　tends　to talk to much in the End he confuses people more than anything else.
 
I agree that he comes off as a bit of a corny character and talks too much but he reviews the knives so I can't complain rightfully.
 
Yeah, the fact that he's got 49 posts talking about his videos says something. I'm not a BIG fan, but I respect that he's into it.
 
I also respect what he does, but I just wish that he would get to the point one heck of a lot quicker. It's sort of like a dull blade: it may get the job done, eventually, but it takes too long.

That said, there is a lot of useful knowledge and I do enjoy watching when I have the time and go to his reviews first and foremost when I want a review.

I subscribed to Nutnfancy's channel when he had maybe 10 videos, so I have been watching for a while. The reason I speak up when people bash him is as follows:

1. I have learned a sh&%$tload of great information about useful things, things I use, e.g., knives, guns, leisure and hobby items.

2. He has (or still does) serve in the US Military, and is very favorable and respectful of service men and women.

3. He's a respectful guy and does not demean others or spew negativity

Don't have time to watch all of his videos anymore, but I do watch most of them. Always pick up some valuable, useful, interesting, positive and often hilarious information and tips. He's a good guy, we like him around here and will always speak on his behalf.
 
He's alright.
His reviews are interesting. Somebodys got to do it.
And btw, sombody watches Opra too much. :o)
 
The world has got to have a balance between cool people and haters, good and evil, etc. Ask Mike Snody what haters have done for his business. If you don't like Nutn' then don't watch his vids. Damn.

The thing is that if the Outdoor Channel gave him a show I'd bet dollars to donuts it would be a huge success. The man is an entertainer at heart and I suspect he's the exact type of guy who could make a go of it.
 
I can't stand his voice, he is really annoying.He also talks way to much, I truly believe he loves to hear his own annoying voice. Nutingbutannoying really lost me after he talked about the twin towers, and the fact that if he were in that situation he would have a parachute under his desk so he could base jump and save him self. He is a true weekend warrior, what a nerd.

Dont like it dont watch it, the whole world doesnt need to know that you dont like his videos. Keep it to yourself.

Nutn gives great reviews, goes out and uses knives, and can possible bring more people into the knife community. When people who dont know knives watch his vids, they think, "hey a bit corny, great info, and knives seem useful"

I think you're watching review videos for the wrong reason if you only care about how the person talks. Nutnfancy leaves no rock unturned an does everyone a great service.
 
Nutn's one of the good guys. He can do no wrong in my book. Some 30,000,000 people have downloaded a vid of his I believe. Pity he didn't get a few cents each time!
