Nutnfancy Sebenza Review

I think people like or dislike his reviews depending on their like or dislike for whatever he's reviewing.

I don't typically watch his channel anymore, his video's got to be to verbose.

I appreciate the time he takes in the reviews he does....but I just can't stand "DUDE" anymore!!! I hear that word and blood comes shooting out of my eyeballs.....if I'm lucky.

the only people I can consistently stand to watch are Hickok45 and jeff quinn from gunblast

The valid points and comparisons of Nutn's vids could be condensed down to about a 2-3 minute video

I clicked on the review to see it said 50+ minutes. I heard douche & dude too many times while trying to read the description to actually watch the video. I've got a large Insingo. I like it, & carry it when I'm out with the wife, usually on the town to eat with & open stuff when we're shopping. I consider it man jewelry like a dress watch or my tungsten bracelet. It's definitely not tactical but a well made edc. I'm no fan of Ntn or his views on knives. Some of his gun vids are watchable. Specifically, his Glock 17 video is probably his best work & what he should strive for in all his vids.

He's kind of the knife-newb's knife guy..

+1..

The first vids I ever saw from him were backpacking and shooting related and in my opinion thats what he should stick to.. I cant stand to listen to him ramble for 45min about a knife, talking about "tactical" this and "defensive situation" that, talking about how good a knife feels in reverse grip, how much stabbing capability it has, and how anything more than 4oz. is far too heavy to EDC.. He also seems to have a big head and his diehard followers seem to think hes a celebrity! I saw several of his "sick" "special edition", "highly collectible" "TNP signed" knives being resold on various auctions and forums and the owners wanted at least 5 times more than what the knife was actually worth.. for instance, a tiger striped dura-coated Tenacious for almost $300..

So yea, I agree his fans are mostly new to the knife world and I seriously wish he would just do outdoors videos where he goes on camping trips. (IE "roughin' it in the back-country") (SICK DUDES!)..

On a side note: If I hear 1 more person reference his term "philosophy of use" in thier knife review, I'm gonna rage quit life!! ITS A KNIFE!! Its used for CUTTING!!

dudes .....
i just sat through 4 mins and had to stop , sounds like a politician .

also his pocket bushman vid is v funny .

Hes a toolbox but I gotta admit I watch his reviews. Prob because nobody else does them. Id love to see the car this guy drives. LOL

Watching him flick the knife open spoke volumes. He just doesn't "get" the knife. Should have been a 30 second review.

I don't understand a lot. However, I don't feel compelled to spend an hour broadcasting my ignorance.

Just so you know. Not everyone believes in the "Knowing what owning a Sebenza is all about" type of thinking. I don't. Just saying.
LOL! I got frustrated after about 5 minutes. I kept hoping he would come around and get into what owning a Sebenza is all about. Needless to say, he never did.

Ha!!! I hear you Brandon. I started to respond and basically said exactly what you said but felt that it sounded egotistical so I hit the ole' cancel button. But yeah, I'll say it too, I know more about knives than the Nut does. When I started ytube I found his vids and watched them for MAYBE two months and had all I could handle of him. Actually not to piss any Nut followers but I somewhat question anyone who would watch his vids on knifes to begin with, unless like what was already said and you think Frost Cutlery is as good as a Hinderer. That's all I have to say about this subject.:D

That it! That's what I've been trying to spit out. His reviews are great for newb's. I feel like my knife wisdom has now surpassed his and I can't learn anything by watching them anymore.

What is interesting is that whatever he reviews, people will react to it. I reviewed my Hinderer, and didn`t like the pocket clip, yet I recieve no death threats. :D

That's probably because you did not say "Dude" 47 times. Nor did you likely add skateboard tape anywhere on the knife, or say it was for "Douches" or any of the other crap in his video's (like inducing failure through heavy side load torsional impacts and heavy prying, and then try to act all shocked and innocent that you managed to break it). (I am just guessing here, because I did not watch your review, but it seems like a safe bet).

This is the same guy who openly admitted that he reviews gear that he has never used; his opinion is worthless.

Watch a few of his videos, and you will soon come to the conclusion that he knows nothing about knives or firearms.

I agree Paul - besides him calling the Sebenza a "tactical folder" I didn't think much of what Nutn said was too far off base. There were a few areas I didn't 100% agree though.

He was critical of the speed of the Sebenza. My guess is his sponsor BladeHQ provided him the knife to review, and he has to send it back. So I doubt he opened and closed it all that much. My point here is he may not have had the opportunity to properly break in the knife (again, speculating here). I've been guilty of this myself. His reply to this point might likely be "should I have to break in a $400+ knife?" I won't go there.

I've had a Large Sebenza 21 in my rotation for a couple of months now and am surprised how much I like it.

In the video he said he purchased the knife back in 08.

This guy must have a crap ton of blades, these days. I wonder what kind of income his youtube channels brings in.

I like his videos, and I don't take anything to heart like a lot of you seem to do. He bashed my Gunhammer.. And I didn't want to riot over it. He has good videos, and not so good videos.. Any YouTuber does, right?

Complaining over how he talks.. His length of his videos, etc.. Is just childish.

You guys get too worked up over this...
