Ode to BUCK's Opus 112 A Gala & Photo Gallery Celebrating the Buck Ranger

That's the way it goes. The correct sheath gets separated or worn. So, they figure a sheath is a sheath and couple it with the wrong era sheath. Most serious collectors can come up with the correct era sheath. But still it shows they lack knowledge about their product. DM

Mule, Those two were another of the collector's club offerings, something like 4 yrs. ago. The 110 one year and the 112 the next. I just like them both so much. Their shape is my cup of tea. Good for deer or coyotes. Plus, they have liners, a front bolster, reduced weight with no rear bolster, finger grooves and blade of S30V. DM

2many,

Great looking knife and sheath. Love that Micarta.

DM what I always have a problem with is deciphering was the belt loop tooled on the edges...I always see signs of faint tooling? or maybe not? LOL after years of being worn the tooling disappears I believe, lets say flattens out.

I think I've seen that too. Yet, I'm not sure what company did that. It's not much 'tooling' anyway. DM

This is all I have to go by thanks to Joe H. and gratefully so...

C. Buck leather shop—started early 1969.
1) Leather, BUCK on snap & flap, tooling lines on belt loop. Used maybe 2 years?

but like I said the tooling gets flattened out..........

Wow nice! jb4570, love that one with crown like bolsters......photo 2-3 1st one in the rack. and the stags are awesome! thanks for sharing your collection!

JB, Great photos, handsome knives. In your last photo the far back knife. Was that the model the collectors club offered in 2006? A stag handled, drop point 112. The steel was upgrade as well. I missed that one. Shucks. So, I got 2 or the paperstone model. DM

I don't remember seeing it in rams horn. That is gorgeous. And here I thought I didn't need an other 112. I had the usual one over a decade ago, but it went missing, or got stolen. I got a110 to replace it, but there is something about the 112

I thought the dating and info was for both 110 & 112 on the 2nd link below about leather & knives, until the more recent Joe H compilation of 112 data.....2010 & updated. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/754710-112-Ranger-data-sheet

and old Joe H. 110 & 112 data with discriptions of sheaths & history: 2008 on 110 & 112 data: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/612901-revised-110-112-data-sheet-as-of-gt-5-1-08

Now I'm confused which one do I use? LOL only kidding I'll figure it out.....

I think the two have mostly the same data. The same pdf file is located at the top of the Buck Knives forum. Though good searching. DM

That is one of the BCCI club drop point knives.
