Hope the grandpa gets better WW. Sounds like quite a man.........................

On another note, today ought to be a good day. Why you ask, cause I said to hell with going into work. I've had almost flawless attendance for 17 years. Now all of the sudden with this management team. If you have a bad morning and make it in a couple minutes late, they give you a attendance ding on your record. I was two minutes late this morning, told the bossman about it when I could of gotten away with it. But I was trying to be honest. He tells me," well, I guess I'll have to give you a occurrence. " My response, "well, you have a nice day then, cause I'm enjoying my occurrence at home." He looks at me and with total surprise and says, "wait, whos going to measure those parts that have to get done today?". (I say,) "YOUR PROBLEM" then he studders around and tries to get me with, "Well, you wont get paid for today," to which I quickly responded, "Thats O.K. I make a lot more than you do anyway." Then turned around and walked out the door. Piss on him...............freakin idiot.

Sounds like a run in I had with my supervisor after I had started my part time gig. Had to call in cause wife was sick, kid was sick, etc etc. Well, I ended up having to just text him (per his request) and I got back a really snide and crappy reply about not being dependable and other nonsense. Curse and call me whatever bad name you want, but mock my work ethic I kinda get upset. I told my wife I had to go to work to deal with this, she toughed it out, and I went in. Walked in, he was standing there, he asked what I was doing there, I didnt reply just walked to my post and started working. After a bit he called me back to his office where he wanted to talk about it. I dont know what he expected but I "explained" to him that there was not a soul alive who talked to me like that. I have had to remind him a few times, but overall he has been very nice lately lol.

I have only heard of 4 of those ways and never perfected any of them.. Of course i dont tie very many ties at all... But that trinity knot looks pretty cool.

Went to a friends last night on the way home and checked out a bunch of knives I have only seen on the internet.. He is getting his internet business started up again and had a bunch of toys to check out. Got to check out a Condor pack golok which was nice, but I was impressed with the condor bushlore the most, very nice knife for the price. He had some cold steel machetes.. Got to see the ESEE 3 and the new Izula G10 scales, which will fit the 14/24 with slight adjustment.. they are nice for the low price they are going for. Also got to check out a Fehrman for the first time.. it is an early model First Strike.. beefy to say the least.

He was really impressed with my Mr. Terrio knife I happened to have in my pack. I really wish we had a knife store worth a crap here, it is really nice to hold a knife in hand, you look at pics all day, but 5 seconds in the hand and you can tell if it is worth a crap.

This.

On another note, I will be starting a puppy obedience course with Neko soon. Not because he is being bad or doing anything wrong really i just want him at the top of his game. He is great on a leash, but i want to be able to let him off the leash as well which right now is impossible, i tried it and ended up chasing him for 10 minutes through some brush... 10 minutes might not sound long but when your running after a puppy in the woods 10 minutes is FOREVER HAHA.

Also he doesnt come unless you have a treat, but if you have a treat he will come, sit, high five, and stand up on back legs and wrap his front legs around me and "hug" me.. He is VERY smart but listens when it benefits him only. I dont want to HAVE to have a treat to get him to come or sit down.

Im debating on private lessons here or going to their location.

Private lessons are more expensive, like 85-100 per lesson or hour. group courses at their location ranges from 110-160 for a 6 week course with 1 lesson per week.

But if they can teach the dog quicker and easier here since its 1 on 1 it might be more beneficial. But on the other hand the interaction with the other dogs and people would be beneficial as well. But im worried he will listen there.. but when we get home go back to the same routines.

The lady i have been speaking to is a CPDT-KA certified trainer and has a lot of great testimonials on her site for both private lessons and group training.

What is your guys opinion? Private lessons or a group setting more beneficial if price wasnt a factor?

We did obedience training with our first two dogs (long since departed), and felt that them learning to respond to commands with the distraction of other dogs and people was a good thing. From everything I've heard, dogs associate more with people than with places, whereas cats go the other way... So I don't think it'd be a problem with the dog listening to commands at home versus the training area.

Thanks for the info bud,

The more i read the more im thinking the group settings are the way to go. I also found out they have a puppy club drop in class that is only 15 dollars once a week, I plan on trying it out in the next couple weeks and while there talking about the couple different group training courses they offer and picking one.

I have to say, in your situation, that sounds like a fantastic thing to do with crap like that going down, Todd. Sounds like a real schmuck. I love my work situation, thank goodness. The people I work with are really cool, although they're mostly leaving soon. We'll see what happens over the next year.

Made this in the old GIMPer today. Thought it turned out pretty cool:

Thanks bud!! I was also thrown off by RCH at first LOL Is the diameter the inside or outside of the hole?

Thanks bud!!

Confused!!!!!
To paraphrase Yoda,

ID or OD there is no difference, only the distance

A hole only has 1 measurement - edge to edge straight line :D Now a water pipe can have an ID/OD differential. :D

Been working on knots this week. I've tied a four-in-hand all my life. Last week, I learned to tie a bow tie, and today, I added a half-Windsor and a Windsor to the arsenal. All I need is a haircut, a mani-pedi, and a good snuggle with Moose, and I'll be quite the dandy.

The trick is to tie 'em loose enough so you can slip 'em on and off, then double-knot 'em so they stay that way. My time is incredibly valuable, and I save 10 or 11 hours a year not having to untie and retie 'em every dang day

Bah!!! Ties that need to be tied have been banished from my life. I only wear the "Official Tie of Texas", the Bolo Tie.

Easily installed -slip it over your head and under your collar and pull'er up.
Flexible - Top button buttoned, slide to-blocked to the top for formal/business, slide it down a little and open the top button - semi-formal/business casual, slide it down a little more and BAM full bore casual

And the 'peace of resistance' - I have NEVER, EVER ruined a bolo tie by dripping sauce, be it pizza, spaghetti or BBQ, on it. Cleans right off with nary a stain. Unlike those fancy silk/fake silk tie a noose around your neck ties.

Prayers and good smoke for your gramps WW

My little girl turned 2 today. No time for snark :( getting dinner ready.

hey WW thoughts and prayers to you and your family. seeing loved ones get sick is horrible. my mom is currently being treated for bladder cancer, stepdad is having serious issues not being able to pee.... they have no clue what it is.. and we also had to put my Grandma in a home because she is incontinent and just can't take care of herself anymore. sucks. makes you thank God for all the little things.

That's badass Dubz. You're good.

Thanks man, appreciate it. The first one I did had regular hands, and I just couldn't quite make it look right. Got the idea to do some transparent hands, and it worked out good, imo. I was looking for a good photo of one hand over the other, and then I was gonna suspend the Earth between the two. Never did find a decent photo though.
