Official SURVIVE! picture thread

I love the kydex. The retention, durability, you can't ask much more from a sheath. But it really does give a tactical look to it. Non knife nuts wouldn't be as nervous about something in leather(IMHO), unless its my 7/7. :) plus I just love some good leather.

yup you got what I was putting down. I really like both options, and options is the best word they each have their place.

Ahhh ok! I knew I've seen that logo before! I'm not a big Star Wars fan but a few of my friends are 501st and my friend Rob makes the costumes.

i counted up the zippos and I underestimated, I'm at 48 apparently... Those 501st guys are no joke. I think the zippo and a death star ice tray might be the extent of my mecrchandise, but always liked the original movies grew up on that sh*t.

Very cool! I had a serious Zippo addiction at one point. Great American company and just really cool. I know I don't have as many as you, but I have a modest collection. I just wish they were more practical as far as fuel not evaporating. I love the click!

haha you nailed it, they really kinda suck as a survival tool. I always rationalize it as a "spark source..." i started collecting when i was about 10 and i'd say 1/3 were gifts, which helps bulk out the collection. some of them are truly meaningful, and some were just silly pos designs i picked up as a kid.

Same here! It has been probably 15 years since I watched any of the movies though. I keep getting told that I should watch them in order soon.

Standard, you've been busy! Nice move with the preorder. Is that an EDC 4? I'd love to hear the story behind that!
 
Thanks man! I finally got a big check from work I did months ago so I'm spoiling myself.
It's an EDC-4 that was found on here in the wrong sale forum so I got lucky and snagged it up! It's CPM-3 with the brown Cerakote and black canvas scales. The scales are a bit wider than the 4.1 so it actually works out well for my hands. I'm really impressed with it and I'm amazed how strong the Cerakote is.

I love the idea of models like this that show the history of SURVIVE! :thumbup:

Haha my jaw dropped when I noticed it! I got outbid at the last second the last time I saw one over on eBay.
