I wasnt going to buy it until I realized it was a 7/7. I always regretted selling mine. The old one was uncoated and Blaze, of course!! The edge needs some work. Its been reprofiled, and not very well. I am going to convex and polish it to a mirror. It will be so sharp that moving it too quickly may actually cut a hole into space/time!!

I have a spare set of green canvas. They are going on it after its sharpened and then the whole setup is going somewhere special. You guys will see, hopefully tonight.

Be careful when it is sharp enough to affect reality! Looking forward to seeing what you have planned.
 
This thing fits perfectly on my heavy armor. The color is a little off. The OD green looks a little brown. Its probably because of the red table cloth in the background

Thanks. To be clear... I am not in the military, but that gear is my kit for work. My favorite piece of gear that I didnt show is my night vision. Those things are amazing.

Tex, its funny that you remember that story. Yeah theres no mistaking the 7/7 for a gerber BG

I must have been jumping to conclusions. My work attire involves a lot less firearms and body armor and sadly no GSO either... almost makes me question my career path :D
 
It would be easy to jump to that conclusion. I removed all of the patches and badge for taking the pics. My agency has social media policies.

Am I the only one who looks at the gear, looks at Riz's avatar, and nods? Other folk here aren't familiar with such an iconic character's fictional biography?

I too am a grateful civilian, and by "civilian" I mean: a person not in the armed services or the police force, a noncombatant, someone whose line of work does NOT require such gear ;)

Awesome snag on that blade, Riz2530 :thumbup: And thank you for posting your sharpening process for others to emulate :cool:
