Official SURVIVE! picture thread

Thanks guys! The next time I cure a slab I'll do a how to and show how easy it is to do. I've been tossing around the idea of starting a Survive! culinary thread here if there's any interest.

Cooking thread would be great! Any cutting for pics must be done with an S!K

Not bacon, but meat-related:

:D consider it done! Just need a couple days to grab up some assets, but I've got a great one to kick it off with.

Gonna show how to cure bacon?! Frig-gin awesome!!! I'm most certainly up for a thread like that can't wait to see what you got in store B34NS. I suck at cooking but I may throw in a quick how to bake already made cookies. :)

How's that 5.1 working out?

Review-thread comparing it to the ESEE-6 and RMD should be up in the next couple of days along with a couple use videos...
It really feels much bigger than the RMD and not much smaller than the ESEE-6, when in it should be the opposite. VERY capable knife. Not my preferred tool for butchering chickens - too thick in the edge and spine, I prefer <0.010 / <0.125 for that - but it can do the job. Carving, batonning, and especially snap-cutting pine branches & locust saplings as well as blackberry canes, very effective tool.

I already added the Sagewood dangler and now it's time to put the natural canvas scales on.

So cool! Do you feel like your life is complete again??

I love the blade height and point. There's not much you can't do with that set up you have!

Haha I do feel a lot more complete! I went a whole week without having a large size knife in my life and only one Survive! for use! Now the 3.5 has another big brother to back it up. I'll have to see if I can do a decent trystick with this thing.

Oh man I'd love to see the results and hear your thoughts on the process of a try stick with the 10. Looking at it, people think "great looking chopper". BUT I've heard Guy say several times that this was his idea of a do it all knife. If you whip out a sweet try stick, that would really solidify that point.

I hope I can make something decent with it. The chances of doing a small spoon are pretty slim but I'll give it a go! The crazy thing is is that it's lighter than a BK-2! I traded an Izula for one and it's cool as hell but it's a heavy bastard!

Is there anything better in life then hanging out by a campfire with you favorite knife, a good cigar, and an oaky bourbon? Cause if there is I haven't found it yet... GSO 4.1 with my convex edge and sharpened spine. Damn good knife...

it's Michter's US1 Toasted Barrel. My favorite bourbon for the price

Never seen Crokett20 youtube, I guess i'll have to check it out now.

Nice pic dude! Gotta be careful shaving your head with a GSO... It can quickly turn into a scalpectomy!

I've never heard of that bourbon, crazy! I really only get bigger brands that are more or less easy to find. Enjoy!

The guy from the crocket channel is pretty sexy....... just sayin'
