Now THAT'LL change things up....
Glad the butchery went well.

Went for a walk in the woods yesterday. BK12 along for the ride, but didn't get any pics of it. Beautiful afternoon to be out.....made me feel like EVERY afternoon would be a good one to be out.....

Hell yes! I agree completely.

I've been doing a ton of hiking since I went back to school. Did a nice 6 miles today, 20+ miles last weekend and a 12 mile hike with a few friends planned for this weekend. Even if the weather is a little nasty while out there, I feel so much better after being out. Something about it just helps me get my head in the right place.

local maker space rocks

checked out on some cool tools today... 1 inch wide bladed re-saw band saw - 3phase/600V - low and slow on that one

will definitely practice on the baby bandsaw for a while...

metal lathe! check!

router table! check! i need one of those, and a good fence. $$$

tax return coming "soon"

kinda want a drill press too and lots of Forstners ;) not sure why, just cuz...

at least i won't have to buy many of the big tools for a while, as long as my projects are portable...

a cheap chainsaw mill and ripping setup should net me some planks for the band saw and planer (16" x 5") with carbide cutter. noice.

so much potential.

will learn MIG soon, and update on stick and gas welding.

but now, to see if i can find a dado stack for the old school radial arm saw (not a compound mitre) - 10 inch blade i think

Don't forget clamps. You can never have too many clamps.

Contests. I've won a few contests from back in the day. My BK16 and BK14 both came from the old Becker contests. I gave a BK2 that I won from the Harry back contest to a buddy that is still beating the snot out of it. Gives good motivation to get out and practice skills.

I look forward to them.

On a slightly more serious note, I just checked out the Ka-Bar 2017 catalogue. Looks like the 5 is still available. At what point do you become a hoarder?

Headed to the cabin in a bit. I sure do hope to get a hike in. Brought a few new items I haven't used yet.

When they make a whole new production run in anticipation of just you. Until then, no worries.

You have three phase power Bladite? Lucky rascal.

the shoppe at the makerspace (attached to a school) has that. special circuit.

my house has 200A standard... i THINK i could get three-space, given my locale, but eh :D cost some quatloos.

They say that God used a radial arm saw for the coastlines. If he had used a tablesaw, it would've only taken a couple days - and the coastlines would have been straight. It'd be nice to have the time to make some stuff. I have a fantastic makerspace within a short walk of my house - and I have plenty of tools in my house, but....I've failed to become organized as I age. That Physics law thingy about entropy is seems to be true....tho it's not stopping me from trying to clean up/throw away/freecycle/vender and put stuff in order so that it's accessible. Too many interests, too little...what was i sayi.....oh..yeah - focus.

Doesn't everyone? I mean, it's already coming into your house....and it's not like you need to scrounge a flux capacitor to make it work....

Truer words have never been spoken.

Because....well...you really can't have too many clamps. So. . . . truth!

When your pile of knives falls over and kills you.

Quoted cuz....I roflcoptered ever so briefly. No more than a few milliseconds....but, still....
