I got my present from my wife a couple weeks ago... The Stihl chainsaw... During a Chinese gift exchange i scored a knob creek gift set, a $50gift card to restaurants... And a nice Weber grill utensil set...

Technically i scored the gift card... My wife scored the knob creek... Then the grill utensils were scored by the person that brought them... And they bought 2 sets... One for the exchange and one for them.... So they gave the set they "won" to me. :D
 
I guess I can understand a store policy where all ammo sales are final no matter what, but the store ought to at least post it conspicuously instead of trying to be subtle about it and then tell me there are signs all over the store. Got the manager to at least exchange it because of that even though he wouldn't admit I was right about the signs.
 
Is Photobucket getting worse and worse to deal with? I've been using it from my phone so long, that I haven't messed with it much via computer. It's slow and there are ads everywhere. Is this new? Is there a better alternative?

a lot of those other photo sites prevent you from easily archiving and copying photos

my xmas haul to myself, was an incra miter 1000HD

should allow me to some crazy cuts later... 1/10th degree precision, easy lock on for regular cuts

generally i have a sled for that, which is accurate (and safe), but for specialty wonking (puzzles, weird shit like 17.1 degree cuts), it'll do. pretty.

i cooked for people this weekend, giant ham, served and bussed and was generally useful. rare treat helping those in need ;)

hope everyone had a good weekend and is looking forwards to more light, a short last week of the year, and more better and less not better.

i don't get paid to fly to Blade either. that's all volunteer. i get some room and board, but i'm used to be 100% out of pocket for that.

moderation? 100% my free time.

On the 21st Someone from this forum opened a paypal case against Me for an item i shipped them a month ago, tracking shows it was delivered 11/21 . they never once contacted me before opening the case... In fact no contact since i gave them the tracking info.

After they opened the case against me i contracted them through pm where they apologize and say the case was opened accidentally and in the PM they admit they received the item and are very happy with everything and then tell me they will close the case...

Now a week later the case is still opened, paypal took the money from me and made my paypal account negative.

I contacted the member again yesterday and explained the case is still opened and the fact its putting Me in a tough position because i can't use My paypal account because it's now in the negative 70 dollars...

I notice they got online multiple Times After i sent the PM message and no reply.... I also notice they are still looking and posting to buy more knives.... When they have yet to clear the issues they created for me....

I tried to be understanding and waited about a week... But now I'm trying to figure out my next course of action?

Is there a way for me to get like a transcript of our PMs through this forum so i can send it to paypal and prove they admit to receiving the item and being happy with it?

Paypal told me they disputed the charge through both paypal and their credit card company. I'm not sure how you can even do that accidentally...
 
Went to urgent care last night. I wasn't feeling good over the Christmas weekend. I was out of it Friday and Saturday. Sunday I started feeling better and went to work that night. I woke up yesterday feeling pretty good, and even got some much needed sheath work done. Then out of nowhere my sinuses on the left side of my face just started killing me. I've never felt that kinda pain before. My gf said it's got to be a sinus infection, and we need to go get me seen by a Dr. So we go, and get seen fairly quickly. The doc said since it hasn't been going on for three plus weeks there's nothing she's gonna do for me and it should go away on its own. She told me to get some behind the counter Sudafed and take Motrin. I started laughing because that's the same crap they give you in the military. My face still hurts and I don't want to miss more work.

The last time I was any kinda sick was four years ago. I've got way too much going on right now. This couldn't have happened at a worse time for me.

Well, that sucks, WW. You can download the messages from your Inbox/Sent folders - just check the ones you want to save, go to the bottom of the page and where it says "Selected Messages" choose "save as" in whatever format you want. I hope you can get it straightened out.

Sounds like a very good candidate for a GBU thread. Either a case of buyer's remorse, a scam starting up or both. He's wanting the knife AND his money. I think he is trying to build a CC case by being able to say "See, PP agrees with me."

Do GSOM's thing and send a copy to PP, demanding that the case be closed in your favor as "Obviously the guy got your knife and says he was satisfied".

Then, I'd send the guy another PM letting him know that he has 24 (or less) hours to get it fixed or to the GBU he goes.

I'd have personally would have already outed him in GBU if I had documentation that he opened BOTH a PP and a CC case against me. I barely, just barely, might have NOT opened one with only the PP case, but I probably would have dinged him in public anyway just to let everyone else know about this asshat move. I'd want to know who it is to put him on my "do not do business with" list.

You don't just "accidentally" open a PP dispute, much less CC protests. Neither situation is a one click "OOPS". To achieve either one takes MULTIPLE actions.
 
Thanks fellas and i strongly agree!!

I sent him a message earlier letting him know i was going to take the next steps in recovering my money and would have to get a moderator involved...

Then like magic... The case is dropped... He blamed paypal and his credit card company... Got upset with me for not being 100 percent polite... But if anyone reads my PMs they can see i was never disrespectful... Didn't cuss... And Kept my cool...

For anyone who knows me yall know that's not an easy task for me...

But whatever... It's done now.
