Okay, new question, what are you driving?

In '03 I rebuilt the front end. In '04 she got a rebuilt 1600. I put a big oil cooler on the roof (inside a huge air scoop). With 205s up front and 235s out back I've got a good foot of daylight under the pan. She still needs paint, new window seals and carpet. Not pretty and no good on the freeway but fun around town.

I have a 1998 Tacoma Prerunner that I like quite a bit. It was a compromise vehicle because of the price of gas, but I've been happy. It gets almost 22 MPG on long-distance highway drives, and as long as I keep the tires aired up and the oil changed, I never get less than 19 MPG. My only real complaint is that I wish the seat went back another couple inches, since I'm a touch over 6'3", and when I've been driving for a while my knees start to hurt. It would be nice if it had better noise reduction, too, but that's a minor consideration.
Now, if I could get one of these with the diesel engine, I would do so in a heartbeat.

I would just trade the truck in for the one you want if you can afford it at this time. You might be able to get an upholsterer or body man to move the seat back for you, it may void your warranty etc, maybe it's taboo like working on airbags, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I drove an Olds 88 with 454 in college. Great car except distributor caps. I ordered a new 1987 2.3L Ford Ranger Supercab shortly after college as my first new vehicle. I always liked it, but can't say great things about its engine. Used quart of oil within first 1,400 miles and never stopped. Replaced engine at around 80K. Recently sold it to a nephew who replaced the second engine. Frustration with lack of power and etc. might have been what lead me to ordering a decked out 1996 Pontiac TransAm in late 1995. It has been a great vehicle overall. Now has 15x,xxx miles on it. Since I traded off my truck, I bought a sharp looking used 1993 Toyota Forerunner last year with about 13x,xxx miles on it to drive around the farm. It was reportedly perfect and got 21 miles per gallon. It wasn't perfect. Motor went out at about 14x,xxx miles and it had only been getting 13 miles per gallon. I just had a new motor put in which has already been back in shop. I have a 1996 Honda Shadow motorcycle I ride when weather nice. Thinking might want to ride it more this summer if gas gets higher. Friend has an old Geo Metro that has 3xx,xxx miles on it, gets great mileage, and has been extremely reliable. I'm thinking he is a lot smarter than I.

I don't know if it was WalMarts fault, it is a 1991, but I usually change the oil myself, a week after getting the oil changed at Wal Mart, the engine blew, that has since been replaced. It could be the fact that I had about 195k on the engine, but transmissions usually go bad on Blazers after 150k, and I currently have it in the shop, and the mechanic says the transmission is fine (knock on wood). I've had lots of little things go bad, but it is a 91. After this though, I am going to purchase a late model Silverado, used doesn't bother me, I actually think its asinine to buy a brand new car/truck, as soon as you drive it off the lot, a huge chunk of change is slashed from the value of the vehicle. I think that with a little TLC, that truck will last until the current motor reaches 250k!

COOL JEEP! I love to read Off Road magazine at my doctors office and see all of the SUVS and monster trucks stuck in the 4 ft deep mud, man, it's pretty hard to get those bad boys stuck, but somehow those guys do it!

2004 Giant NRS 2

1990's Cannondale SM400

I hate the gas mileage on this thing too. 13 mpg city, 16 hwy. I do love the truck, though I thought about the Chev Silverado. The Dak is the best looking stock truck made in the last decade, IMHO. Not the new ones, though, what an abomination.

2003 Yota Taco(Tacoma SR5)
First new car, first foreign car and first truck. LOVE it! Am looking to get a bed liner perhaps Rhino Guard or Line Ex, but I need to save a few more pennies.

I used to live in Brooklyn and before that in Manhattan and to be honest I didn't really need a car. I moved to Houston about a month ago and you really do need a car here. The last car I bought was a Toyota Celica GT in 1974, $3400.

I went back to Totota and they're all out of $3400 new cars, so I leased a Camry LE fully loaded except for the sunroof. The color is Desert Sand, kind of a gold and it's beautiful. It's quiet and handles as well if not better than the my old Celica.

It feels great to be behind the wheel again. ;)

Trek Fuel 80 with a Manitou Axel Super '05 front fork. I have a car as well but it sits there gathering dust for the last year or so. I figure I'm gonna sell it and buy a beat up old workhorse of a pickup truck.
