Here's another one of Charlie's fantastic offerings. For me it most assuredly fits the theme of Old Friends

Yes, I think it was Witness Jer!More of an old acquaintance. I thought it was going to be the ONE, but it never really resonated for me.

It's a single spring.

I don't think Kelly McGillis would accuse it of Hochmut. (I've forgotten the name of that movie. Witness?)
It seemed like an awful lot of handle (almost 4") for not much blade (almost 2.5" main), but this is coming from the guy who complains when short blades are given short handles, so go figure.Yes, I think it was Witness Jer!Interesting pattern, reminds me of the BF Buck!

Interesting idea Jer![]()
Maybe I'll peel the handle off this and put some glue under it, then paint it. Or glue something else on instead. It works a lot better than it looks.
I don't know where or when I got it, or even how long it's been by my TV chair.
I use sheets of adhesive vinyl from the crafts store for that. I think it is meant for sign lettering - anyway it sticks really well and seems very durable. I haven’t carried my recovered knives too much, but they have held up so far against the keys and whatnot that ride in the same pocket.Maybe I'll peel the handle off this and put some glue under it, then paint it. Or glue something else on instead. It works a lot better than it looks.
Handsome knife Jack and a clever tip of the hat to Johnnie Cash.Interesting idea Jer![]()

Whenever I want to tell my teenaged daughter a story, I ask “did I ever tell you about the time when…”, and the answer is invariably “YESPity my grey hairs!
I think you're right on both counts.
This time maybe I'll remember the sheet vinyl ploy long enough to try it.
Thank you very much my friendHandsome knife Jack and a clever tip of the hat to Johnnie Cash.![]()
