Old Friends Friday

This isn't as old as it feels, but time, like, you know...

"search" has disappeared from my screen corner. I trust it will be back.

Nice-looking knife Jer 😎 I sure hope 'search' will be back. Everytime the site gets messed around with they #@£&* something up! 😖🤬

I haven't carried this historic homage, by Tod Cutler, in a while, but it seemed appropriate for Jorvik Viking Festival

Many years ago, I was about to give up on A. Wright & Son, after seeing so many of their wretchedly-made knives, when I purchased this SFO. It showed me that while the firm would happily turn out cheap, badly-made knives, they were at least capable of producing better ones. My Old Friend today, and when I first bought it

A nice choice, and a fine composition my friend :) I hope you have a lovely day together :)

Fourteen years ago I bought my first ever GEC. A single spey 23 in elk sold to me by Christine Tucker at a GEC booth at a local knife show. I've carried and used the heck out of this thing and the worst wear it has shown is some scratches and a small pin crack at the spring pin.... which was likely my fault as I used this several times to hammer some small picture hanger pins into walls when I was in art school.

Thanks, Jack. It has brass bolsters and shield, and both my high school and college colors were black & gold, so it's a sentimental piece.
