this old Buck has been with me awhile

a favored stockman, a bit more unique then the usual black

Very handsome James :)
Thanks Jack. It's possible that a Buck stockman is to me as a Sheffield sheepfoot is to you. Both could be considered quintessential cutlery from our respective home lands, that just happen to also be, excellent Old Friends. :)
Have a fantastic week-end my friend.

Thanks James, you too buddy :)

kamagong kamagong reminded me of the Aitor Castor Pequenya earlier in the week (I think Christian has its slightly bigger brother) :) It was my first Knife of the Year I think, and a great little knife, which really does punch above its weight  It's been long since I carried mine, and I'm looking forward to doing so today :)

I'm pretty sure this was the first knife I posted on BF, after drifting over from the axe forum. I can't find the old post and I don't remember if I got the knife bare-linered or if I pried something off.

That's cool Jer :) I haven't had a look in the axe sub-forum for ages! :D
An old friend that got cleaned, recovered in giraffe bone, rat-tail bolster and easy open notch added

Cool spring carry r8shell!
Whats your little visitor trying to turn into. Looks like he's busting out all over.

That's a nice one James :)
Thanks Jack, it was enjoyable working with a friend to recondition that one.
Should have taken b4 pics... it was much older then. ;)

Looks great Rachel, hope you have a good Spring :)
Thanks, Jack. Spring is possibly my least favorite season. Between the last frost, and before the dry heat of summer, it's insect season. I just had to do some serious flea treatment on the cat. The weather is pleasant, though. 👍

That was a cicada. The trees will be very loud with them soon.

Nice work on that Easy Opener.

Sorry to hear that Rachel, I have always enjoyed it here, but we don't always get a Spring here now, just goes from Winter to Summer! Hoping to get one this year, as it kinda messes with my wardrobe! :D ;)
