It's gonna be a great year!
Wow - great pic of a great knife.

One of my most nostalgic gifts at Christmas. Like a ton of us, this Imperial Barlow was my first knife as a boy. It was lost deep in the woods as most were. My father-in-law found this one at an estate sale that had a jacked up tip. After reprofile, I am getting a kick out of carrying this. I just turned 40, so I can now become a full tilt old man, loving the memories of my pocket knives back in the “old days”! :D

Jack, that Ancient is a masterpiece.

A few days ago, I pulled some whittlers out of the drawer to take a few pictures for a discussion about split-backs and catch-bits. As often happens when I try to open both secondaries at the same time, this one gave me a little bite. "Okay, fine. I'll carry you on Old Friends Friday, after my finger heals."

Here's what he looked like when I got him, so he really should be more appreciative. :D

Thanks Rachel :) Ouch! Nice work on that Whittler :)

In my opinion, the Ancient Barlow was one of Charlie's finest projects, and this scratted bone model, from the first run, took over my pocket for a long time. I thought I'd carry it again for Old Friends Friday :)

It was inspired Charlie, and very bold I thought. Well done to you for commissioning it my friend, and to GEC for agreeing to make the knives :)
