Jack, that Ancient is a masterpiece.
A few days ago, I pulled some whittlers out of the drawer to take a few pictures for a discussion about split-backs and catch-bits. As often happens when I try to open both secondaries at the same time, this one gave me a little bite. "Okay, fine. I'll carry you on Old Friends Friday, after my finger heals."

I'll always remember that first Ancient project fondly! Thanks for posting it, Jack!!In my opinion, the Ancient Barlow was one of Charlie's finest projects, and this scratted bone model, from the first run, took over my pocket for a long time. I thought I'd carry it again for Old Friends Friday![]()
