Old Friends Friday

I threw my moss green abilene into the mix for old friends friday. I have had this for years and it's always been a favorite.

I was looking in my knife drawer a bit today, and decided to carry this nice little knife that I have not pocketed in years:

I'm combining Old Friends Friday with Black Friday again.

I have been carrying my 2019 BF knife since it arrived. I am going back to this one today.

That's a real shame my friend :(

In my Old Friends Friday, I say to the beloved Union Jacks - Wave Them High!

I don’t own a Union Jack but I did get this shot glass last time in the UK. No more EU means I can to come back. For me, this is quite the Old Friends Friday indeed.

Cheers!

Carrying this old Ulster BSA Scout today, a kind gift, some years ago now, from screened porch screened porch :)

That is some years already, isn't it? It's even some years since I was surprised to see I'd been on BF for five years.
I've been waiting so long to rehandle this friendly old Camillus that I don't remember where or when I got it. (The bail still swings in the poured epoxy handle because I dipped its prongs in paste wax.)

For old friends friday I am carrying this schrade walden 856 in wavy bone. I got it in december 2017 and it has been a go to vintage user ever since. It was the first of this pattern that began my addiction to them. You can see it's no stranger to use.

Ever since I've had this knife the main blade had a funky deal, it would bounce back up past the liner a little after snapping closed and I would have to push it back down. It didn't hit the edge so it was never a big deal but it was strange. Well, even stranger now it seems to have stopped doing that. Fine with me.

This one has been mine the longest of any knife I ever bought myself, as I've owned it for over 30 years. So it satisfies two threads, Old Friends and Black Friday. Beautifully light in the pocket, it has ever been my upland hunting pocket knife.
