Old Friends Friday

This humble Victorinox Classic was a give-away at a sales meeting that I helped coordinate over 20 years ago. The original scales had some marketing hype on them but the scales eventually disintegrated so I replaced them recently. This little knife is still carried, much loved by me, and very useful.

I can sometimes go an long time without carrying a knife I once considered special. This is one of those knives, an old friend. Thank you @JackBlack for giving me a place to reminisce, from time to time it does my heart good.:)

Also, thank you Charlie ( waynorth waynorth ) and GEC for bringing about so many wonderful knives for us to enjoy (including the 66 HJ above).:thumbsup:

Thanks for posting that special knife my friend :)

It's not that old, but it's been sorely neglected!! The first LambFoot out of the box, from a batch of 500 knives in Bone and Ebony (and later a few Ivory bone!!:D)!! It's coming with me on my errands today!!
One of the nicest knives GEC produced for me with my Waynorth name, it feels so good in the hand and pocket; a real talisman that continues to bring good luck!!

Charlie my friend, I couldn’t agree with you more! .....so good in the hand and pocket! As my friend Harry would say, mine are made out of unobtainium! ;)

You all did an absolutely outstanding job Charlie :)

It took a CF & CE-ing session with Half/Stop Half/Stop to get me totin' these fellas again. A 02 pattern Case barehead jack and a 53 pattern Case cattle knife, both without pattern stamps and both from 1920-1940. Thanks for the push, Ron.
