Old Friends Friday

An ebony Churchill is a frequently carried user of mine so this beautiful red bone 35 does not get out as often as it deserves. Today I'll remedy that.

I agree with Jack, it's fantastic.
Especially without the obnoxious blade etch.

That looks fantastic
Thank you Jack, IMO the jigged bone is as nice as it comes. :)

Thanks John, I worked hard to remove the etch thinking the shield and tang stamp was enough. :)

Edit; found a pic with blade etch still intact

A couple of old friends. An 03 Vic Soldier along with the second GEC I purchased, a (slightly modified) FarmBoy. Two spear bladed knives who's nail nicks are located where a nail nick belongs. :)

Have a fantastic Friday, fellow enthusiasts.

Duncan @Campbellclanman gave me this Carl Schlieper Scout in Sheffield in 2013 :) Obviously, I treasure it, but it's a great knife too, and over the past 6 years, I've carried it with me a lot on my hikes :) Might be a while before I get one of those unfortunately, but I'm carrying the knife again today for Old Friends Friday :)

Well spotted :) Thanks, it's got a real nice feel to it, and the old steel takes a great edge :) I always enjoy carrying and using it

Jack, that's a sweet ol' Schlieper Scout! Duncan sure was good to you. I can see why both he and it are numbered among your good friends. Stay healthy mate.

Here's one I'm glad I took a chance on. A Northwoods Indian River Jack by Queen. A rough and ready cigar pattern in CPM154. After some minor corrections it worked out quite well. Somehow in the process of making those corrections it became quite special to me.

Thanks a lot pal, Duncan is a treasure :) That looks like a really nice knife :)

Jack Black Jack Black , Good morning Jack, once again a cool pic of a nice knife. Fits right in at that pretty location almost camouflaged like.:thumbsup: Have a good day. :)

This big ol' Case was a gift from a friend, @joeradza. For the last few years because of it's size it had only been carried on a few field walks each fall. Since then my wife has kindly sown sheaths out of the corners in my jean pockets. They hold knives upright on-end making the bigger ones easier to carry.
Yesterday I lowered the blades in the well and rounded their spines along with bolster's corners.
Today I have a comfortable to carry and use old friend from an old friend. I can tote it anytime, anywhere because of the alterations to the jean pockets (instead of just a few days a year). I expect for awhile because the mods have made it comfortable in hand, it'll get used daily as an solid all purpose EDC. Thanks again Al for your generosity hope all is well with you.
