Something brought this $2,50 Boker USA Tree Brand to mind.
I remember looking at it by the big window at the foot of the stairs, so it's more than eight years old to me.

There was a window of time that Boker USA must have used inferior glue on their shields. There seem to be more old Bokers floating around shieldless than any other brand (can't rule out confirmation bias)
