Amazing! I've never seen a three bladed Barlow, nor that bolster stamp. (I'm probably being dim, but what is that symbol?)Picked up a pretty rare Labelle 3 blade barlow, Goins has 1884-1891. They were in Bridgeport Conn. This is one of those bolster stamps I knew about but never thought would find an example.

That's a very nice Knife Augie! Wonderful Bone
Only thing I found was Goins' book says they were from around 1910 date, imported from Germany and sold through Norvell-Shapleigh hardware. They were listed as mid-grade quality with no warranty.Picked up this GW Putnam and Co at an Antique shop for pretty cheap yesterday. Anybody know anything about this maker? The only markings are "G.W. Putnam and Co. Germany" on both blades. The only info online I could find is a 1910 Catalog for Norvell-Shapleigh Hardware advertising this brand of knives. It has this model in the catalog except mine has brass liners and no bolster work. I think the covers are ebony. Rough shape but seems to be well made.
