Very nice, I think I've admired that one before haven't I? :)

Some Old Knives that I own, I remember each one of these coming into my possesion although not valuable they have extreme sentimental value to me

Im not so sure how old this is, Im thinking it is from the 1950's or 1960's, My Great Grandfather gave it to me in the early 1980's and told me he found it while cutting the grass in the front of the house.

This one is the very first knife I bought back in 1980 at a store called Hymens world of sporting goods, no longer around. I rember this always being in my pocket during my childhood, the leather belt attachment my Grandmother gave me and it has been on it ever since.

This one my father gave me back in the early 1980's, he told me he bought it to carry with him back in the early 1960's for when he went into Boston and wanted it for protection- he never needed it for self defense BTW

It's nice that you've been able to hang onto those TP

Love that KA-BAR Wazu...awesome condition!

I was quite stunned the other day when I received a parcel from Jack the other day, as well as Jacks Parcel I bought a couple of knives fron our good friend Brad as well, so I would like to show you something there as well...lets start with Jack.....

Jack is a really nice guy, an extremely kind, considerate person who thinks of others before self in so many cases, it was funny, when we met up with Jack in Sheffield, you had to watch him like a Hawk - as he would try and pay for everything - he is just so generously selfless...
I opened up this great little envelope, and inside was this ALTOIDS peppermint tin, and inside it were these two lovely old knives, as well as that...a coin that bowled me over!!...check it out..

We have been looking at Jack and Adee's lovely Ivory knives from the past as of lately...and Jack sent me this fantastic Ivory Pen knife - now Pen knife is this the correct term - Jack and I were talking over the phone about this the other day...simply constructed - Linerless - and yet it has stood the test of time I tell you - its wonderful, the grain and texture of the Ivory is Stunning...

ALSO...jack included this wonderful Butler Pearl Beauty! - now this knife has had very little use- or lots of very careful use...the storage shows the age more that the use - but Butler is/was a first class cutler - it shows in how beautifully the mechanics of this Century old knife still work like the day it was made - what a magnificent piece - Jack Sir - and you Sir are a wonderful example of what a good guy is meant to be like - I wished I lived closer to you my friend, A wee gem this Bulter - Nickel Silver Bolsters, Pearl Scales, The Swedges on the blades folks are to die for - along with a long pull on the blade as well, now I tried to take some decent shots - Im home crook the weather wasnt good outside so tried with the poor lighting I had to do my best - which was poorly - so theres not that many good shots of this lovely Butler..
Check out that massive, heavy Leeds Coin.... jack that is just simply fantastic - thank you so very, very much.....

Mr Brad,
Yep...we all know Brad for again being a great guy here, Brad has frequented this place with some outstanding older knives he is gathering together, Brad is a long term member here - a true stand up guy. I have been lucky enough to be able to buy some of Brads knives - and he is another person like Jack - a caring nice guy, always very willing to help with his knowledge as well! Brad slipped in this knife with a couple that I bought off him, - Brad Sir...this old Robeson is beautiful, if you look at any post of mine when a older Robeson is displayed, you will know what I think of them - Robesons Bone is just superb..... Thank you for this great old knife Brad - one that already had done a lot of pocket time with me.....

Great old Jos Rodgers knives ADEE, Charles and Jack.

Here's a Rodgers stockman.

With Steve showing his marvelous Stockman - with that great Stamping on the blade, it made me think of my Stockman - nothing quite like Steve's lovey Joseph Rodgers - but this knife has quite neat Horn Scales, parts are quite Translucent!...and also has a main blade that is Stamped, I just thought it was a nice knife - something ever slightly different by C. Johnson.....

Duncan
So well presented and every one of the knives is a gem in my eyes. The old ivory "pen" looks to be befitting a fine gentleman. Lovely ivory! The MOP is a beauty with those flat bolsters and perfect covers. Looks to be quite stout.
The old Robeson has just the most lovely bone in hue and texture and an easy open to boot!

Thanks for sharing your joy. Both Jack and Brad - rock the forum and life:D:cool::thumbup:

I'm glad the package arrived OK Duncan my friend, and thanks for the very kind words, you are a total gem of a guy :)

The Butler and the ivory Lady's knife (which I thought Sue might like) were originally part of a parcel I was trying to send to Duncan, but I've been having difficulty posting the larger ones, so I thought I'd ship these wee ones seperately. I'd showed the Butler in this thread before, and I remember you admired it. You've always been so generous to me, I just had to send it to you

That Robeson is a beauty Duncan, and I know how much you love that pattern. Well done Brad, you're a gentleman :)

Lovely Stockman in great condition too Duncan

Thanks Paul and Gev, you are great people that I am very proud to have as friends :)

Jack

All great knives. The penknives are very classy. That is a fine Christopher Johnson stockman Duncan. Johnson's factory was named the Western Works so hence the name. I like the horn scales.

Nice knives and great sentiments on this page so far. Thanks to all.

Campbellclanman ... A lovely display of fine knives [and I like the photos]. I noted too your kind hearted words. I had the pleasure of Jack's company this afternoon and he brought a present for me [yes it was sharp and pointy] ... and he bought the chips, [mind you it was his turn. I know this because I had written it down on a piece of paper !] :D Lovely stockman ... love the scales. Thanks for all that. AD.

A nice haul Jack my friend. There are some interesting items there. Well done with the quick post too ! You did well to spot that Thackeray mark on the spine of the chunky fb. AD.
