On Playing Wordle . . .

wordle2 has been rebranded - I assume to avoid confrontation with NYT - they also changed the correct letter color from green to blue and that was a little difficult for my brain to register
I was on track to hit three, but there were too many letter possibilities to fix it out so I sacrificed one guess to determine which word it was for sure

If you guys like to play the game w/longer words, you should try Hello Wordl which allows you to adjust the word size from 6 to 11 letters.

Birdie 3! Can't believe that I actually beat you guys today. Tough word but 2 letters in the green and 1 in the yellow in 2 tries made it a lot easier.
Also helps that I used some of the answer word just the other day. LOL!

Could have gotten a Birdie 3 on this one too but for my habit of using X's to fill open spaces which let to the choice of DETOX on the 3rd try. Oh well . . .

Coulda done better but, of course, I picked the "wrong" possible word 1st.

Birdie 3 but it was a lucky guess. There were at least 3 other words that I could have chosen using the same 3 letter pattern.

No standard vowels but I figured the Y had to be a "wobbler" which could place it in the 2nd or 3rd position. The only word thatimmediately came to mind was LYMPH but, of course, I didn't think of NYMPH 1st.

PS: Further research indicates that were these other 3rd guess possibilities as well: FLYBY, GHYLL, GLYPH, LYNCH, MYTHY, PYGMY THYMY, WRYLY and XYLYL. Some pretty obscure words in this list but at least 3-4 that could easily have been chosen as well.

The NYT version is the "official version" and the one that I am (and I believe others are) using.

As noted above, the word for Wordle #281 is NYMPH which is what your answer should be.

I could have crammed three of the four remaining possibilities into my fourth guess, and that would have guaranteed I would get it on the fifth try.
