My streak ended at 20, and my first Wordle defeat. Third guess was a mistake as I knew the third letter didn’t go there, but not sure I would have got it even with one more guess.

Wow!!!

The current NYT average for this puzzle is 6.3!!!

Is +6 even possible? A fail must be scored as 7.

That's crazy but WordleBot did say that there
were 26 possibilities available to me after the 2nd
starter word but only 2 possibilities based on the
letter pattern that I chose to use.

So, I don't think that it was entirely "luck" that I
was able to solve it in 3.

though none of them were in the green.

However, there were 2 othe possibilities per
WordleBot -- DONUT & OUTDO -- neither of
which I ever considered.

I didn't bail and try an eliminator since I was using up letters two at a time, but I still ran out. My last guess was one of two and I took the wrong one.

Guessed a double letter and went with "___ARER"
as the letter pattern which only left PARER and RARER
as the possibilities. Thought a triple letter was less
likely. So, I went with PARER for the 3rd guess.

The final NYT average for this puzzle was 6.3.

Weirdly, I got today's word looking at Bladeforums when I suddenly realized what I was looking at gave me a word to guess that fit the yellow letters I had and where they were likely to go.
