On Playing Wordle . . .

I love this game. It sucks that you can only play one game a day. I wish I could play 2, or 6 games a day.

There are at least 2 ways that you can play more games on the same day.

Both are available on The Wordle Archive where you can:

1) Play all 240 games to date starting at Game #1 on 6/19/2021 to where ever you started (or backwards from where ever you started back to Game #1)

and/or

2) Play as many Random 5 Letter Games as you like.

I've already played all 240 games back to Game #1 but, whenever I'm bored, I'll play the Random 5 Letter Game which is good practice.

The random words all come from the list of 2315 words used in the game and almost all of the words you see there (at least 2075 of them as of today) will come up in the future and, if you play it a lot, eventually you'll come across the same words again (and again).

As for "cheating" (as mentioned in a few posts above), if you REALLY want to "cheat" there's nothing stopping you (or anyone else) because a COMPLETE LIST of all of the words used in the game (listed day by day from 2021-2027 - the life of the game) has already been published.

I posted a link to that list at the end of the 1st post at the top of this thread. I'm not going to post a link to it again here but it's "there" if you care to find and use it.

Well, that would be like cheating. I like to figure them out myself. It’s been fun so far. I guess I’ll just play as each day goes on. I’ll try working backwards from where I started too.

Placement of only vowel in 4th position led to conclusion that the word started w/3 consonants which led to the solution.

D davidmary has been using this random word version of the game too.

I assume the the word set is the same or similar to the one in The Wordle Archive, since there is a finite # of 5 letter words in the English language. Either one will do but The Wordle Archive also gives you the option to play a Randon 6 Letter Game and certain challenges too.

Here's a Challenge that I created from The Word Archive that I think should require some thought to solve:

we struggled on that one last night - think it took us 5 tries. don't remember our guesses, but we got NIC in the right spot pretty quick, then just stared at the screen for a bit.
finally my wife typed in a C while I happened to be looking at the Y and it clicked. We struggled in Wordle, Wordle2, and Nerdle yesterday for some reason.

Good challenge! Won't spoil it, but I got it in 4.
 
Well it just happened to be really close to my default first word choice, so pure luck there. I might have gotten it in two tries maybe 3 times total for the same reason
