Hey Guys...
TLC...
I understand Exactly what you are saying,, however,, as I said Bushcraft walks hand in hand with killing animals...Theres no way of denying it,, or skirting around it,, it's absolute fact...
That doesn't mean that if you practice bushcraft that you have to kill animals..You can practice bushcraft and survival and live off the land without killing animals thats for sure...
Traps, trapping as well as fishing, and different ways of fishing, including the use of fish and animal parts including skins, tendons and such, are HUGE parts of bushcraft.
So it only makes sense,, that Killing animals being part of Bushcraft,, that it would walk hand in hand with Bushcraft, whether you choose to partake in it,, is a moot point..
I choose to hunt, not only for food,, there are many reasons why I choose to hunt.
I also believe that I'm doing what I was designed to do, and that I do the ecology and environment a favor..
We have,, ummm had a rabbit problem here at the house...
Two years ago rabbits ate all the bushes around the house,, as well as next door.. Bushes which some costs some serious money...
Two years later,, No more rabbits, and bushes survived the winter...
No more problem,, and there was lots of cotton tail pie on the table...
The circle of life...
Nothing wrong with that....
As for the deer..
Yaa they are beautiful....
However....
If populations aren't kept in check, you get what happens in Michigan..
54,000 Yes Thousand, deer/car collisions in One Year!
Again,, if they aren't kept in check you get problems like Chronic Wasting Disease.. A Really nice little disease that takes care of the deer in it's own nasty little way...
Hunters keep these number in check,, plain and simple...
