Ongoing Details for the 2016 Bladeforums knife.

Great for striking a spark on a firesteel or scraping rust and crud offin' stuff. :)

All this Punch talk sure has me excited to get my first knife with a 'pokey thing' !

The possibilities are endless

I've only ever had one on my SAKs, and they're always perpendicular to the back when opened. I've used the awl some, but I feel like its use has been limited because of its position. I'm very excited about the forum knife's awl. Being able to have it open out the end will make it a much more versatile tool IMO!

You should also grab an Alox electrician

Apologies if I missed it but what colour will the 2016 bone be? as per the photos? Or will there be another:yawn: vote?

I cant' quite remember the name of the game but there were metal fish and you had a mini fishing rod with a magnet to "catch" them.
I was wondering if this is the method Barry uses to "snag" knives off Charlies table at the show after bribing the officials to get his table right next door.:D
"Hey Charlie I heard Scarlett Johanssonson is coming to show.Hey look -there she is."
"where?"
"Ahh over near the tacticals way over there-Look."
"Whu Where I can't see her."
kahzzzzzzrrrt, tink, wind, wind, wind.

SECURITY TO TRADITONALS TABLE 23- there're some foreigners lurking under the table.
Roger that control- Looks like a Limey, an Austrian and a Kiwifruit.

any comparison or similarity to any persons fictional or real is unintentional but if you think of any they are to be snickered at in a silly way.:D:D

Great Idea Meako! Here I've been usin' my trained packrat all this time. Your method could save me tons of money on rat food over the winter! :D

same here, on my SAKs they are in the middle, so im certainly willing to try a model with the pointy thing at the end

Again, I find myself thankful for Charlie and his participation here, as well as all the folks who are keeping the BFC annual knife alive.

This knife was gifted to me by a cherished friend a couple of years ago. Really like the job GEC did with the punch on this model.

Good on ya Barry. You may have given me a great idea for Boris the bad tempered Python to earn his keep. At a smidge over 6ft he could probably hoover down 8 or 9 pocket knives unnoticed and then curl up and hide under a strategically placed Stetson hat. Thats if he loses his appetite for biting me first:D:thumbup:

I've used the awl in my Case Scout knife for scrapin', startin' drillin reamin' holes and as a spatula for mixin' epoxy. As a mechanic it's a handy tool no doubt but placement is critical for usefulness, one of reasons I like the scout knives and the Alox SAKs.

Charlie mentioned he'd like to get past the rendezvous . . . that only happened last week, so I expect this will pick up some steam again soon. Can't wait!
