While I've been thinking about doing just that, I hoping and praying something comes up before it comes down to doing that.

Sorry to hear it. I've got a public sector job too, and it's been a steady pattern of budget cuts for the past 5 years, and word is we're facing deeper cuts over the next couple of years. We've hired "efficiency" consultants now (reminds me of the Bob's from Office Space), which can't be a good sign. On the bright side, jobs in my areas of expertise are supposedly picking up in the private sector. Downside is the 15 years I already have in my pension cannot be transferred out to a 401k/403b/etc. without paying substantial penalties.

I have no idea what your old job was, but I'm guessing that it had to do with air planes? Boeing is pretty big in Western Washington. Plus it's pretty nice out that way if you don't mind lots and lots of people. Might be an idea anyway.
My wife wants to move back out that way to get her Masters degree so you might have come cool neighbors in a year or two :)
 
Stick, Damascus would be really cool, so would the CF Blur Blem. I saw them on Dave's site the other day so I think he still has them. He also has a speedbump in g10, which is a really cool knife. Sounds like it will be a great GAW.

Sorry if I didn't type it out clearly, The alt. was replaced with a 136 thats still putting just that out. It came with a 150 amp alt. You can't buy one at the dealer or the typical stores anymore, quit producing them. So unless I want to get a specialty alt and pay as much for it as I would a blue blur, I am stuck finding a pre-loved one!

Losing work is a terrible thing...I know that feeling. The IT world kind of dries up in cycles around here. My sister actually worked at Lockheed Martin, then went over to a private firm. Her husband still works at Lockheed though, seems to be doing alright. They're in the maritime division I think... Either way, I hope you pick up some leads and get back on your feet soon. The last time I was out of work, I fell into a nasty funk. My self-worth went down the toilet until my wife (then fiancee) smacked it out of me. I wish you luck man, and all the best.

Justin, I have no idea what you're talking about, but it sure sounds manly! Amp alternators and car parts! I make car parts for the American working man, because that's what I am, and that's who I care about! :D

An update on the Skyline thoughts...I was playing with the BFC Skyline, figuring out whether I should put the clip on it or just take the clip off and keep it in my pocket next to my wallet. Then I heard a little whimper, and noticed it was coming from my CF Blur that was sitting on the computer desk. I went over to it, and it told me to stop being an idiot and put it back in my pocket. The BFC Skyline is back in the case, and the CF Blur is back in my pocket. I couldn't do it...

You can carry two blades you know! Just slip the bfc in the front right pocket and if you don't use it, you don't use it!

On a side note, anyone hear from Solid O lately? I haven't seen him around much.

I was noticing Solid hasn't been aroud lately. Last I heard from him was when he bought my snap on blur.

Ha, I kind of did the same thing last night. I traded out the Purple Blur for my ZDP Caly last night before I went to bed. Well this morning I walk past my Laptop and I felt something stop me and slap me in the face. It was the Purple Blur. It's back in my pocket now.
