Morning everyone. I'm cheating today with a manix 2 :D

For shame! The Manix 2 isn't even that great a Spyderco.. :p No Para2?

Mario, I am a backyard proffesional jeep mechanic! Didn't you know!?

You can carry two blades you know! Just slip the bfc in the front right pocket and if you don't use it, you don't use it!

On a side note, anyone hear from Solid O lately? I haven't seen him around much.

Hmmm, so now I've got to buy me a Jeep. I actually always wanted one. I'm not the type to carry two blades unless I'm testing one out. I've got the Blur and LM Charge AL already, anything more feels silly. On the other hand, maybe I should get a tactical fanny pack and have a dedicated tactical blade, along with my EDC blade, Juice S2, Level Dumb First Aid kit, and 14 pounds of my loadout so that I can SAVE THE DAY!!!!!

You can get a good look at a t bone by sticking you head up a butchers as5, But Id rather take the bulls word for it...

No wait... You could get a good look at a bull by sticking your head up a butcher's ass...no...it's gotta be your bull...

"Daddy Daddy I got to the bathroom." "Not now damnit!!" "Ahhh there's a tire I can't stop!" *crashes car* "Ahh there's a cliff!!" "Here comes the meatwagon, new guys in the corner puking his guts out" *makes puking noise* "That's all because you wanted to save a few extra bucks on brake pads"

Get out....NAO!! Um...do you validate?

Ha, I kind of did the same thing last night. I traded out the Purple Blur for my ZDP Caly last night before I went to bed. Well this morning I walk past my Laptop and I felt something stop me and slap me in the face. It was the Purple Blur. It's back in my pocket now.

Yeah, them Blurs can get a bit feisty. :D

Stick I had a para 2, snapped about a quarter inch off the tip. Sold it and never got another. I did love it though. But I really enjoy the ergos and hollow grind on the manix. Plus the blade shape is awesome

It's off of Tommy Boy. It's on my Hall of Fame list.

Stick Stick Stick (in an excited little kids voice), I got your package today! Thank you thank you thank you!!

I also got Spydercos catalog today. I will say that it's a lot more detailed than Kershaws catalog.

When did you request yours? I got mine months ago.

The Manix is a great knife for sure but the hollow grind on the regular one is just hideous. That blade shape needs a FFG. I think it looks best with one.

Mark. I'm going to flatten my EP stones today and hopefully get your Grip done tonight. I found the lansky last night, too. The 70 grit stone is just caked with residue . Does anyone know if boiling the stones in water will get rid of the grime? I don't want you to have to deal with my dirty stones;)

Dude Tommy Boy quote!

I loved Chris Farley. Most awesome actor ever.

He was really amazing. Such a funny actor, really had me in stitches in every role he played. Shame he died so young...and from an overdose... *sigh* I just watched this again, and laughed out loud here at work:

Hmmm... Well, I had a Manix 2 for a short while, I couldn't dig it. The hollow grind and tip-down only kind of made it a "not for me" piece. The lightweight felt a bit cheap, even though I know it's a high quality piece. The only Spyderco I'm keeping is the Para2, I'm selling off the Sages soon. But hey, if you love it, then then you love it. :)

You're welcome. Post some pictures of that junk! I hope you get some good use out it, should hold you over until you can afford an EP or WE.

My friend requested a Spyderco catalog for me weeks ago, I still haven't gotten it. I got the ZT & Kershaw cats from Dave though. Those are some nice books.

I requested mine about 2 weeks ago. They're website says it'll arrive between 2-8 weeks, so that's probably why your guy's are taking awhile to get to you.

Hey DBag, I saw in a thread that you were getting something from Germany and you ordered it on January 10th. What is it and why's it taking so long? If it's a custom, then that's self-explanatory. I'm also out of school already.

Thank you. And thank you for not incinerating my grip. And what does flattening the stones do? And how do you do it.

After a fair amount of use, the stones develop dips, usually in the middle, from the stone wearing away. To flatten them is to abrade them on either another stone or some other abrasive in order to trim off the sides and restore the surface to full flatness. This ensures that the stone keeps the same angle throughout a stroke, since a dip in the stone will change the angle of interaction as the stone passes over the edge being sharpened.

Bam, crushed it.

I'm outta school biotches
I'm also out of school already.
