Sorry about the trouble Mario, do you know of any that use AA or AAA?
The V11R comes with a AA extension, so you can use both CR123 and AA.
I actually still have the titanium AA extender for the M11R/V11R. I tried it, and I wasn't too happy with the results from 1.5V AA primaries. The output was very low, especially for the size of the light. You end up with a light that's almost as big as an 18650 light, but with the output of a AAA light. You could use a Li-ion 14500 battery, and get the same great output, but then you'd have the same issue of needless extra size.
Btw, no need to apologize Kirbs. I love talking about this stuff. Go back several months, and I didn't know a thing. I had one tiny flashlight, and didn't even know why I liked it.
Well Stick, I went about messing with some of my manual settings on my camera. Manually set the white balance, it was really washing things out at times. Also saw that my camera has a XY Color Range setting I can turn on that helps add more color. I want to upgrade my camera in the future. But am trying to work with what I have to the best of my ability.
I know I can make the camera look a lot better with better lighting. The video will look a little foggy if all the light is coming in towards the lense, and not really any lighting from behind. I think I am going to set up a strip light right above where I normally shoot.
Lighting is still something I struggle with. I try to keep my lighting setup pretty simple, usually just two small LED light panels on either side. I used to aim them right at the product/scene, but I got all these harsh shadows that made it hard to show details in some cases. What I do now is aim my lights right at the white ceiling, and it bounces and diffuses the light pretty well to make an even lighting environment. Here are some good places to start:

A white background also helps to bounce light around and reduce shadows and all that. Hope that helps Steel. I'd love to shoot more outdoors, but in the middle of Queens, NY I don't think that's a great idea.
I hope you do too, for me not to know Stick, would be a loss, he is truly an outstanding young man , that I respect and consider a friend.[/QUOTE]
Thanks Dave, I appreciate that and it means a lot for you to say it.
