Just went to the kids camp fun night. The leader dude had a deep carry clip hanging out of his pocket and I asked him hey whatchu carrying? He pulls it out and goes I don't know, I found it 3 days ago. I asked to see one it and before he had it halfway out of his pocket I say ah a kershaw funxion, niiiiice! I proceed to tell him everything about it (emt version) and kershaw and how awesome of a company they are and a small crowd a gentleys builds up around us by the time I finish. A guy goes damn what you do sell them? I say no just an enthusiast and small collector but I know a guy! I hope Dave gets a few new customers!
 
Lmao i did that a while back at the knife counter at Cabela's, dude behind the counter didnt know jack, so i broke out my 0561 and went to town talking up KAI... Three guys bought knives that day, all put down other brands they were looking at lol
 
I don't have anybody around here that carries anything KAI related. One kid at corn detasseling had a clip in his pocket but it said Gerber on it :barf:.
 
you are one of the select few "children" i know that carries anything good besides my one coworker i got a 0561 for. Hes 16 and carries it daily

What's funny is you don't even think about it anymore, atleast I don't. I pull out whatever I'm carrying go over all the aspects, how awesome their lineup is over the two brands, and how cs will take care of you regardless. I then usually look around to see a small crowd or see how over the top of the other persons head I am all before I realize I went into rant!

Well there's also Mark, Kirby and Zach. That's all that I know of. One of my better friends carries a knife about half the time but it's a Tac-Force POS. He refuses to listen to me talk about my knives and I don't even like to around him because he proceeds to pull out his knife and wrist flick it and everything. Makes me cringe. *shivers*

Lmao, i totally know what u mean. I go so far over ppls heads with talk like what we do here and ppl cock their heads to the sides like a confused puppy lol

He says "the spring is bad in it". I proceed with "tells you how much quality that thing is pumping out", but it's in a sarcastic tone....and usually with a grin on my face. I tell him that it's more technique than a strong spring, because I have no problem opening it.
 
I just wrist flicked my 0801. :D It almost flew out of my hand. :P

Ive sold most of my friends on ZT just by letting them handle ones i have....i dont have to say to much the product speaks for itself. Its funny when a few of us are together at kids party or something and a knife is needed, we all pull out a big ZT and everyone looks at us like we are all crazy lol
 
I get that when i go to breakfast and pull out a 561 to cut my eggs benedict... and waitress is like "ohhhh my"
 
I don't get it. Every time I get a new knife I show my dad and tell him a little bit about it but he doesn't seem very fond of it. He just holds it, looks at one side, looks at the other side, and hands it back to me, all with a straight face. I want to get him something eventually, but he's not giving me any signs. He's held everything in my "collection". Maybe I'll force him to look at everything again and pick his favorite so I have something to work with. He's a stubborn guy too. I told him when I get my Wicked Edge that I'll sharpen his 16 year old Buck knife (no idea what model, haven't really looked at it). He ALWAYS says, "this thing holds an amazing edge. I've only had to sharpen it twice. I don't even need it as sharp as you think it needs to be." I usually say something along the lines of "why would you not want to take full advantage if how sharp your knife can be?" He's the same with the HD on the T.V. "Why do you always change it to HD?" Me - "Why would you buy an HD T.V., pay for HD, but not watch it in HD?" That usually pisses him off, because he knows I'm right.
 
I have a question guys....On my 0550 and 0560 the thump studs/ blade stops on both are getting marked up just from opening and closing the blade with flipper. I havent opened eithier one more than 20 times is this normal??

Is it polishing the blade stops/thumb studs? That's what's happening to the right one on my 0551. I have no idea how, but it doesn't bother me. That's how I received it. It's a user, and again, I could care less.
 
Yes thats what it looks like its doing.....but just where its making contact. it doesnt bother me just wanted to see if its normal. ive even thought about putting very small strip of rubber or something were its making contacting to stop it but like i said its not big deal
