Oregon Knife Collectors 2025 Show

What an incredible experience. Met so many people and handled some great knives. Was lucky to even snag a few. Special thanks to btb01 btb01 for reserving party central 😂. The Airbnb was perfect. I believe I learned more in these last three days than I have in 4 years of being involved in pocket knives. The interesting thing is everyone has their niche interests so at every turn I was learning. Thank you everyone for being so generous with your time and taking an interest getting to know me. I’m still clueless but I left a much better pocket knife enthusiast.

I’ll remember so many things but off the top of my head was skimming the aisles with btb01 btb01 , epic bantering with Campbellclanman Campbellclanman , sitting and visiting with waynorth waynorth , meeting and drooling over Rhidian Rhidian and Mike Morans knives, flipping through Myron’s book of amazing switchblades, knowtracks knowtracks wonderful tribute display to Charlie’s SFOs, and the after show hangouts with the above mentioned and so many more fine people. I could probably come up with 50 more. Buying or acquiring a knife didn’t even crack my top 20. I could have left the show with nothing and I would have been 100% content.

That being said I did leave with many purchases and gifts. I’m horrible at taking pictures but here are a few.

I just want to say as a Floridian about a million miles away, I appreciate the posts and updates. This looks like an amazing show, hopefully I will be able to attend sometime but it's cool to experience at least second hand
I agree M mac0731
I'm about the same distance as you from this epic knife show, just slightly north in the Carolinas.

I really appreciate the pics y'all are posting up!
I can only imagine the time y'all are having in person! 😎

Oh my goodness, a complete display of your knives Charlie, waynorth waynorth ! That is mind blowing! Did you recently put this together? I don’t remember seeing these display cases before. I cannot even imagine the value of these knives. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Mind blowing. What a legacy. Bravo Bravissimo!

All of you attending the show, please post lots of close up photos, not just of the knives but the people as well. Most of us live too far away to ever attend this show, and we depend on you to take us there vicariously.
Dave built the cases and assembled the display, and kept it a secret!! I looked up from setting up my table and thought he was doing his Schatt display!!
When the banner went up, I was flabbergasted!!o_Oo_O
This macho old fart cried!!!🥲

Wait... How are we supposed to drink our coffee?

I think the real party was at that Airbnb - Barrett was describing the place to me and it sounded like it couldn't have been more perfect. It was a tremendous show and it was a pleasure to catch up with the usual suspects, put faces to familiar names, and meet some new folks. I did not come away with any new additions, though I hope to have planted a seed with my favorite maker and might have struck a deal for something special to be concluded after the show.

For me, the show has always been about connecting with friends in the hobby. Being able to meet Barrett, Paul, Duncan, Dan, Mike Moran, and likely some others I am forgetting, was a real pleasure. Getting to visit with more familiar faces like Charlie, Dave, Barry, Rhidian, Neil (too short of a visit), and again likely some other faces I am forgetting, always makes the show a highlight of the year.

I'm already looking forward to the next.

It may have been a short visit with you Dylan but it was enjoyable for sure. That coke bottle lamb of yours was so nice. Looking forward to what you come up with.

This year’s Oregon show was fantastic! It’s hard to beat Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 Paul’s summary — most of his highlights would be mine as well. 😁

It was a particular pleasure to finally meet Duncan Campbellclanman Campbellclanman in person, as well as Dylan Pàdruig Pàdruig who I missed meeting at the show last year. It was also a treat for me to see a couple of the Albers Guardians Lambs out in the wild!

Sitting and chatting with Charlie waynorth waynorth is always wonderful, and it was great seeing Dave knowtracks knowtracks and Dan danno50 danno50 again and getting to talk with them. And of course I have to l thank to my friend Neal H herder who first talked me into coming to the Oregon show last year. I won’t try to list everyone else I got to hang out with this year, as I’m bound to forget someone, but just know that I appreciated meeting, talking and looking at knives with all of you!

I did a terrible job taking pictures this year (too busy having fun, I guess). I did get some pics of knowtracks knowtracks Dave’s display of waynorth waynorth Charlie’s SFOs, which was excellent! What a collection! I know photos of the display have already been posted, but hey, why not see it again? 😁

Dave and Charlie were kind enough to stand with the display for a picture.

Most of the other pics I took were of the knives I picked up at the show. It was definitely a pretty good year in that respect! 😁 This first one wasn’t a show pickup per se, but a knife that Rhidian Rhidian had made for me and delivered in person at the show. It’s a bit of an homage to the humble little Camillus What-A-Knife, with a Lambsfoot blade, caplifter and scratted bone handles.

I got to spend a good deal of time with Mike Moran this weekend. What a great guy! I’d been admiring his knives online for a while now, but getting to handle them in person took my admiration to another level. They are so well made, I love how nice and thin they are, both behind the edge — a big plus for me — and in general. I couldn’t leave the show without one, something that definitely was not in my plans for the weekend, but hey, what can you do? 😁

I had hoped to find some older Opinels at the show, having seen quite a few there last year, but only came across this No. 8. I also really liked this little Sheffield-made Canadian beer advertising knife, so I couldn’t pass it up.

Last but certainly not least are two TC Barlows that I feel extremely fortunate to have picked up. The PPP two-blade ebony came from a small selection of knives that knowtracks knowtracks had brought along to sell, and the 2018 OKCA soup bone TC (a parts knife made with a 2014 clip point blade and originally brought to the show by waynorth waynorth in 2018, I believe) came from the man himself. Dave and Charlie, I appreciate both of you giving me a chance at these rare knives. Thank you!

Ok, I think I’ve been long-winded enough for one post. I absolutely cannot wait until next year! 😁

Pictures and words do not suffice in describing how awesome that display is, and the incredibly touching gesture by Dave in putting it together. It isn't simply a collection - there is a lot of heart, sentiment, and power in that incredible assortment of knives. It tells a story (one of many, I'm sure) of Charlie's passion and contributions over the years and is a heartfelt reminder of how much of a privilege it is to be able to benefit from such passion.

Not long winded at all, fantastic post and thanks for taking the time. 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰
Thanks to all who reported so we can vicariously enjoy the show and camaraderie. Unfortunately, Oregon is about as far as you can get from SW Florida.
I'm so glad you all had a great time!
