My two Patch knives. One in Osage. The other in Curly Ash. Both with blue liners.

The Ash arrived yesterday. Figured I'd post pics next to the Osage for comparison.



 
That curly ash is really something! Great looking set of knives Tony! Allen's patch design looks very comfortable and practical.

Thank you! I'm a fan of it myself. Can't wait to watch it age. Good looking Hunter, is cool how the stripes and liners change the look of a knife so much.
 
Osage orange trees or Bois D'arc (wood of the bow) were used by the Indians to make their bows and ranchers used them before barbed wire to enclose their range lines. It's a very historical tree and wood.

That is a perfect example of why I cut it the way I do. Look at those rays pop! Nice knife!
 
It's one of your old fat handled ones. Good for us long fingered guys :D One of my favorite things with osage is how well it ages.
