OT: GUNS

The biggest problem is that bad shit happens, and there's not a damn thing you can do to stop it, but people want answers.

Cool New Agent. I have a Colt Defender. All the New Agents I have seen do not have sights just the sight channel.

BTW..I hate G-locks, the only reason I own one is it was a gift and you can't sell gifts...
Why would I carry a POS when I can carry a SuperGrade an Ed Brown or another Wilson.

Because 1911s weight a ton, have an old fashioned battery of arms, and less capacity. Let's just start there.

How about those new Ruger revolvers?
GP-100 7 shot 357?
Redhawk 8 shot 357?
Kinda tempting me back to a wheelgun to go with my Coonan. :D

you are correct. This one was a very limited run of 500. Most people don't even know they exist. About the only drawback for me is that it does not have an ambi safety and I am a lefty. I have not added one because I hate to mess with originality of this piece.

here is a link to the gun:

I am a lefty too. Mostly why I have a Glock. I still carry a 1911 mostly. I have taught myself to operate the safety with my trigger finger on the draw.

Damm, I love Coonans. I am actually considering one in 10mm. I love the looks of the full length frame.

I think he means 1911s are old school, thats my friendy interpretation anyway :D

Which is one of the reasons I love it. Yes, it is heavy, yes it is a pita to disassemble in the field, yes, it does have low mag capacity these days. But what could be cooler than carrying the same gun that Sergeant York carried in WWI exactly 100 years ago. What could be cooler than that.? And yes, the gun is still in service today with some military and law enforcement. I cannot think of any other gun that has been in service with military or law enforcement for 100 years, can you? Sure today's guns are more efficient, more reliable in general and have higher capacity, but the 1911 is more than enough in the majority of scenarios even these days.

Yea so I just did this thing

Wilson Combat EDC X9

I'm not a semi auto guy but I do like how slim a 1911 is. Not a fan of the grip safety though.

That Wilson EDC X9 looks like a great pistol. Almost the same size as a Glock 19 and it has a 15 round mag as well.
