Our "Front Porch" ....

Rubi......fantastic day......woke up to see my daughter......always the best part of my day......had a few cups of hot, strong coffee on a freezing cold day.....two of the three cups had just the perfect amount of milk & sugar......last one little too much sugar.........learned a few new things.......and I plan to finish off the day with chicken & ribs on the BBQ and watch American Sniper (I've heard good things)........
Granted I do not have a 9000W sound wall....but I am sure I will enjoy it just the same.........
On the downside, BWM just told me that my f***in' truck needs an engine overhaul and it's going to cost $10K......so I think I have decided just to buy a new truck......so I get to go truck shopping.......which is always a blast.......considering going back to a Grand Cherokee......always loved my Jeeps......never had any major issues.......
But basically.....a perfect day so far and no complaints.....

How about you......???
Thinkin' about beer in the hot tub again....??? :D

Ha! No I'm being good (we'll see how the threads and posts go the rest of the day before I commit though) Yes. Waking to your little girl is a Great Day already.
I Love my Jeep AND loved my Toyota 4runner and FjCruiser as well. Nothing like a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for All around Fun/functionality and value (things hold their value like nobodys business).

Yup.....Jeeps are awesome.....

Growing up, it was my favorite vehicle (outside of all the standard supercars......and KITT:D).....back then it was the CJ-7 with the round headlights that evolved into the YJ and the Sahara......loved them all......but by the time I could afford one.......I needed something more practical........so it was into the Grand Cherokee.......I think I have had about all of the bodystyles along the way.....but the two I have liked best were the square-ish one from the late 80's and the slightly rounded but still angular one from 1999-2004-ish.......
But I never lost my taste or desire for the iconic "drop the top and pull the doors off" YJ-style........just amazing vehicles........
That said.....still not the most practical ride for me......so despite what I would like to get......it might be back to the Cherokee......

I do really like yours, though.....it's pretty badass......

I was over at a buddy's house last night and the time eventually came when it was time for him to put his boys to bed......so as I sipped wine on the couch, I picked up a book that one of his boys left on the coffee table....."100 Scariest Creatures".......I flipped it open and the Black Mamba was very high on the list.......deadly venom.......can grow to be 18 ft long and is faster than a running man.........and then I remembered this.......

Just one more reason I am quite happy to put up with snow and cold.......because when there is a knock on my door......it's usually a guy delivering Chinese food......

Got me to thinking about my "project" truck. It's a little under the weather and needs some TLC.

Hope you guys up North weathered the storm without any issues. Can't wait for the day I can move to NC and at least experience a little bit of a real winter. Was 71 here yesterday in Central Florida.

Amen on all points! Miss mine every time I get in my car.

I tried the Honda civic, Toyota Corolla route back when gas was really high. I don't know what it is about vehicles but I just can not drive something that I can't connect with and by connect I guess I mean dicker with.
Lift it, modify it whatever..... the Jeep Wrangler is like driving a transformer - there are so many variations to how one can configure their Jeep.
That may not appeal to everyone but to those that it does there is no vehicle that comes close.
Hey! The Jeep Wrangler IS the "XM of vehicles" Ha, no wonder I like it so much.

I gotta get a hood decal - " XMICON" ..... I'll be the only one that knows what the hell I'm talking about but I'm used to that :)

That would make an awesome sticker. Would be cool if you could incorporate the Horse head in it somehow. :) I'm driving a 2004 Civic at the moment. About to break 200k. I do 110 miles round trip every day so a Jeep is a no go for me right now. The misses has a Subaru Crosstrek and loves it, but I've already started dropping hints that I would like another Wrangler in my future as soon as my drive changes up some. :) It's in the blood after driving them for the better part of a decade.

I do about 70 miles round trip which is why I tried the Corolla/Civic option. I just looked at it as ..... Life is too short to not enjoy driving something your in two(2) hours a day.
There are non-car folks out there that could not care less as long as point A and point B get connected somehow - I have always been a "car guy" and by car guy I mean Anything with wheels that trips my trigger. Have had sports cars, pick-up trucks and everything in between.
I can drive a Camaro, a miata, a Ford F150, a Jeep and a mini Cooper and smile at all of them.
Put me in a bland no-personality vehicle and I'll pull someones hair out.
It's like that with everything though (for me) I won't EDC a plain jane pocket knife either........

Life is too short to not Enjoy as much of it as you can.

Yeah, I'm pretty much driving the equivalent $5 gerber at this point. :) With gas lower it wouldn't have been so bad, but I was spending a fortune in gas when it was over $3 a gallon. We are saving our dollars as hard as we can in hopes of moving to NC sometime in 2015. It's been a goal of hers and mine since we were both in college. What kept us here thus far is our daughter is in an awesome school. She moves onto middle school next year and it's a whole different story. We are trying to get her into a local Charter School for technology and science, but they have 11 spots and 50 applicants so our odds are a little low. If she doesn't get in, our hope is to move to NC at some point over the summer, but that will be dependent on my current employer letting me work from home. There aren't a lot of jobs up there in NC where we have a place (Murphy), but there is a 300 million dollar casino opening up on the other side of the mountain from us this year. Hoping that brings businesses and then jobs into the area. :)

Nothing wrong with Hondas, I have had my 2003 Civic for 10 years and 123k miles, and the thing just works. I did however get a new daily driver, a 2005 GTO 6 speed. For those of you counting, I know have two Goats. I like Jeeps and 4x4s, but I gotta have a car.

Been reading and responding to some recent threads and sat back to think so...... my thought for the Day (cuz I can :))

Live life asking yourself, In the Grand Scheme of things - will this be something on that "Last Day"..... I will waste time worrying about.
Based on that answer.... proceed accordingly because, Ya never know.

Yep, my thought for today :)
