Our "Front Porch" ....

Funny, NC is like 9 hours South from me. I don't imagine they get hit too hard snow wise.

Sadly it's 9 hours North of Katy and I at the moment. It's not too bad for sure. Katy's mom lives up there and they've had maybe 3 or 4 snows this winter and some freezing rain. They get occasional iced roads from what she says, but it sounds like everything up there shuts down when it happens. Katy's is trying to motivate me to move sooner by reminding me I'll be 9 hours closer to the Hinderer Ranch. :) It will all depend on my job though at this point :)

Well, You know our Hopes and Prayers are that what is best for you and your Family happens as soon as is possible.
NC is a nice place, I would live there :)

Andreas....my German is a little rusty.....I'd still do OK at a bar......but that's about the extent of it........

Are you studying birds.....or art.......or falconry......???

Google Translate has lead me to believe that "Dur Leitfaden Fur Prufung Und Praxis" means "Major Guide For exam and practice".......so I am guessing falconry.....???

Das ist sehr Gut!! Und sehr Cool! ......

(German in H.S. and College:)) Why I have no idea, I don't think Spanish had been invented yet.

haha nice! yes Ross - it is for the falconry exam...

gotta have the hunting licence and additional falconry licence!

da ist ja noch etwas in erinnerung geblieben Ruby? - i never knew they teach german in US high schools?

N2K - it is always fun to hear my US friends over here order some strudel at a restaurant - i hope my english sounds better - although i have been told i sound like arnold...:)

In retrospect my H.S. was pretty Hip.... We had an indoor Natatorium with Diving towers, a Planetarium, Full Shop classrooms (all the trades) All the Languages... Art and Music, Pottery and Kilns....as well as complete Science Labs to blow stuff up.
and this was in the middle of NoWhere Pennsyltucky.
Amazing.

Saturday.
A few degrees above freezing......given the recent temperatures here, it feels like T-shirt weather.......
But overcast and raining......a great day to stay inside......
Not quite the season for golf, fishing or tearing around the country on a motorcycle......
So what to do.....???

It's cleaning time.......
I actually haven't pulled apart and cleaned any XMs in a while......I have always found this to be a really fun and relaxing way to pass some time......especially with some great songs playing and glass of wine (or two)......so even though it's not too pleasant outside......today is shaping up to be a really great day......

Think I'll start off with some Linkin Park (Waiting For The End), a bottle of red (nothing fancy....but drinkable) and a 3.5 spanto (Good Lord that's an awesome knife)......we'll see where that takes me........

Hope everyone else is having a good day as well.......

Saturday night(ish) We know what Ross is up to..... What is everybody doing?

I'm in my shop. Just wiped down a few blades and fondled a couple more (older classic RHK's) I love those pieces.

Could be a libations evening and a Cigar or two.

^that sounds good! although after i quit smoking nine years ago i never managed to have a cigar without inhaling to much...

saturday evening i invited my dad over for dinner always great times! - since it is sunday here already - we will head to my brother-in-law with a cake and a bottle of 23y rum... - back to the no-sweets-and-less-dinner-diet tomorrow i guess :D

have a nice weekend everyone!

Hey, I didn't here from you after your Sat afternoon update of the days activities.... I count on you guys to keep this place moving.
One old beat up x-Army guy is only good for occasional farts and burps. .....
Sad really.

Saturday turned out to be an awesome day......took apart and cleaned a bunch of XMs.......pulled out the Wicked Edge and touched up a few of the ones I carry often with the strops......then wasted a bunch of time shaving my arm and cutting little paper strips......which lead to me having to bust out the vacuum and clean up the floor......I was pretty happy I was drinking at that point.......then pulled out some toys and snapped a few pics........here's my favorite......

Then, while listening to the theme music from "Airwolf", I flew the helicopter into a container of sugar, knocked it over and had to pull out the vacuum again.......it is not wise to drink and fly......the "Airwolf" music didn't seem so cool while I was vacuuming......

Today was less fun.....more chores / errands......but I capped of the evening by joining Instagram........I have labored for weeks to think of reasons why I shouldn't (still refuse to join Facebook) but other than being just plain stubborn I really couldn't come up with any good ones.......so I'll give it a shot.......

xxfalconxx you and Mr. Rubi really should "strongly" consider joining the Hinderer Facebook Group. It's truly a wondrous place that I'm sure you both would enjoy! And I'm not just saying that just to be saying it :-). It's a no nonsense, strictly Hinderer related content, close knit family type environment. There's lots of familiar faces....... so no need to be shy, haha. Plus, if you don't like it your more than eligible for a full refund....... no questions ask. Although I highly doubt you'll want to leave once you get a sample of the hospitality and respect each member has for one another. Hmm reminds me of another joyous place I like to frequent....... ;)

Not to mention the various encounters daily from some of the men of the Ranch themselves (Rick, Rob, and Ben) to name a few. Lol, there's more....... much more! But I'd rather you witness those special things yourselves. I don't want to ruin all of the surprises. :D

(P.S.) If you worried about your privacy or would like to be incognito....... just create a "dummy" account. You can even use your username here to make things easier. Just know this is a "CLOSED GROUP". So no one can see the content but you and the members a part of the group. Not even your friends/family if they haven't joined. Which is great, if you ask me.......
