Our "Front Porch" ....

Oh I forgot NJ those boots are way cool.... I always wear boots, usually redbacks, and have always thought cowboy boots would be cool, but I never know what i'm going to end up standing in so $150.00 is my limit..... nice pics!

Nice KZ! All are welcome! Ive got a NYC Battalion Fire Chief coming for dinner so the portions will be heavy!

MRaymond, that's an absolutely insane markup. All of those brands are pretty common around here. I actually like Ariats. I've had pretty terrible luck with Justin's durability, twisted x holds up will but never seem to have great fit and finish, and Ariat has good durability and finish but they don't really make leather soles. Also, if you live in the my part of the world there are plenty of boots that are great for the office :D

Wowcoop, thanks! If you don't mind rubber soles (it really is a personal preference thing, but I've always found leather to be better in my general uses), you can look into Ariats around that price that are pretty good. Up until I tried on the Rios and fell in love, I was happily wearing Ariats.

No worries RJ, thx for the advice.... I've got to stick with rubber/oil resistant, my environmental constraints...... Fire tends to get jumpy if my footwear looks too non osha etc.....they hate it when an EMT is in their scene, and are always looking out for our safety :) And working with cars everyday trashes footwear.......

It is crazy markup! Living in MN I thought that the Ariats were a little better suited to winter wear since they basically have work boot soles. I like them a lot, they are put together well and very durable.

If I lived closer, I'd bring the beer!

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas to all.

My thoughts are with all those, away from their families, doing things that need done!

Hey all! My first post in this thread, and soon to have my very first Hinderer which I am so grateful to have gotten from the 50 offered up so generously by Hinderer for Christmas! A little about me- I'm an 18 year old kid between high school and college, currently working for the Washington State Conservation Corps. building and repairing trails in the mountains of Washington state, and hope to either be a Fish and Wildlife officer or a NPS back-country ranger after school, so this Hinderer is going to have a very well traveled life in the wilderness of Washington till I'm old and crusty. Cheers guys, and thank you all for being such amiable and admirable folks.
God Bless,
Ian

O 57 great score and great profession, that knife will serve you well. You may be 18, however age in your case does't equate with maturity. Hinderer at 18, well done and much success to you, don't forget pictures, we would very much enjoy some of your Hinderer at work.

Welcome ian and Merry Christmas to Everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and restful Holiday with Family and friends.

My gifts of Cryo II's were Big Hits! Gave one to my Wife Too along with Perfumes, Creams and Lady Stuff, I believe the knife was the
central Wow! gift which is pretty cool.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Gave my dad a ZT0566, and he loves it! And gave my mom a Victornox kitchen knife set, which was long overdue.

What a week leading up to Christmas.

Started with Vince and Pat hitting ice on the way to school and hitting the solid rock mountain we live on the top of. Road conditions caused several car accidents on the mountain, this happening the day after one of their friends was killed a couple hundred yards up the road (wasn't wearing his seat-belt) thrown from the car.
Then Pete started bleeding from his rectum (everywhere) several emergency visits to the Vet and some really emotional sleepless nights.
The Holidays are a stressful time all on their own - this one has been a real "ager".
Thank God everyone seems to be doing well - Hope you ALL have had a smoother Holiday :)

Man I'm sorry about the tough week rubi. I'm glad that everyone in your family is ok. I'm really sorry about your kids friend. That is terrible. I feel for the kids poor family.
