Our "Front Porch" ....

Iv seen that Rich, got a good kick out of it. Glad to see alot of tool/maynard fans here! Rich, have you checked out maynard in Pucifer? some great music. has anyone tried maynards wine since he became a fellow farmer? Im not a big wine guy, but Id try it.

being a drummer, Danny Carey has changed my life in a good way, know just what you mean. :)

I enjoy art, unfortunately I am usually tasked with hanging or placing it. Then I stand back and say, "Wow, Cool.....looks nice there" and then I never see it again.

Just one of those things that I get used to and therefore never notice again, so now I only buy/collect stuff I use but, I still like looking at Art like the Pics posted here.

Those who did what paintings can bring a lot of money these days!! I mean I seen some dude squirting paint into the toilet as it was flushing and takes a picture... And people think it's art.

Tragedy narrowly avoided tonight... I was doing some housecleaning in the garage, breaking down some boxes, etc.. Apparently at some point I set my prod wharnie w/ the precious pond scum scale on the edge of the garbage can and gravity conveniently took over unbeknownst to me :( SO GLAD I happened to glance inside before continuing to pile more trash in it.. Big lesson learned (again) - put the knife immediately back in pocket!!

AZ, man you lucked out, dump diving is no fun, did that a few times, and landfill searching, well you can only imagine!

Close call Shane! Glad you noticed it. Wouldn't have been fun searching for an open blade in the garbage

Yes - Use it/Return it. Use it/Return it. ALWAYS put it right back even if you know there are other cuts to be made.
Just as easy to retrieve from pocket as it is sitting 3 ft away on top of a whatever.
Same goes for your Flashlight and pen.
Been there done that with ALL three. Hate that feeling of "Where did that thing get to!"

Yep, I'm a slow learner apparently since spending 1/2 day looking for my HDS that I left on the back porch didn't teach me :o

Come to think of it, I've misplaced my pen too - but not my fault, it fell out

Here's a little project I've been working off/on for, for a while. Kinda mess with them when I have time either at work or home. These are made from paint stirrer sticks from Home Depot or other hardware stores. I draw them out how I'd like them to look, then I do the rest by hand with files, sandpaper, and drill bits. I don't use any power drills for the bits, only my fingers.

I've always loved the look of hand-file work on customs, so you know I had to incorporate that! This is one of the first one I stained, and I'm not sure I like it or not. Couldn't decide so I gave it to my dad. Most of the other folders I've made (other designs and like these) I've either given away or sold. Let me know what you think! Still learning, and progressing. Thanks!

Prelude. You've got some talent buddy. Those look great! What a fun project. Now you've got me wanting to try that too! Really nice job. :)

Thanks! I appreciate the compliment very much. Here's a couple pics of the size in reference with a 3" xm-18...

Thanks Jensen! That's very nice of you to say. Everytime I'm done with one, I wish I had machinery that much more to pursue a long-time dream. Someday I'll crank some out in Ti or something! LOL

Great work! You have to start somewhere, if you can do that w/ just files and sandpaper I'm sure you can make the switch to metal w/out too much equipment :)

Wow Kevin!! That is some pretty neat work you've done in your spare time. They look very good! Love how you can actually deploy the blade.

Awesome! And very impressive! Thanks for sharing bro :D

Thanks guys, that's very nice! I think if I had a drill press, grinder and belt sander I'd be ok. It would be a very fun new hobby...
