WOW! Thats one aggressive defense! When those SeaHawks get the ball they just fly! Too bad they weren't called the SeaHorses!!!

Monday = "Rat on a wheel Day"

I remember reading the shampoo bottle when I was a kid and wondering... when do you Stop? You remember, " The directions"
Wet hair. Apply Shampoo. Rinse. Repeat.
Did we really need Directions? If so, should we have been naked - in water by ourselves to begin with?
Monday is my "Shampoo Direction Day" or "Rat on a Wheel" (take your pick). No wonder Monday mornings are the most popular time to have a massive heart attack,
Why not? I can't think of a better time to schedule one. The weekend would suck and Friday too for that matter. Wednesday would be bad because that's "Hump Day" so what you'd rather be doing that day is obvious in the name alone. Tuesday and Monday are your choices and I say, No coin Flip required. Monday wins hands down.
Monday it is! Uggghhhhh Ahhhhhhh (Burp) damn false alarm.
Maybe that is why rats run like mad when they get put in a cage with a wheel...... they either think its Monday (unlikely) OR it's a suicide attempt.
They can't hang themselves (no opposing thumb) and firearms are out of the question (Too Big and who can find ammo these days)
The Wheel. Laughingly referred to as "an Exercise Device" by Pet Stores and Fitness Club Owners. They know better.
Get the Fat Bastard to run until his heart explodes and you own him for Life at the tune of $49.95 a month (unless it's Monday) in which case a discount applies.
I used to hate Sundays (growing up) Why? School the next day, not a big fan of school.
Now, it's Monday Why? Cuz it's Monday.
I say bring it on numbing left arm..... sweaty forehead..... impending freedom "DNR" and Off to the next Big Thing!

Dark Humor? or Reality? to each his own. Read the newspaper or watch TV and take notice at the trends in societal behavior.
Heroin overdoeses, driving the wrong way, Base Jumping, Risky behavior in various forms some couched as unfortunate "mistakes" are they?
Some people are just kidding themselves into thinking that stretching it out over weeks/months or years makes the goal something different than if they just do it ....
Quick.
Quick= Bad
Long/Drawn Out= Life style choice...... semantics is all.

Hobbies, Vacations, Holidays and the Weekend are the things that keep us distracted from - Monday :)

;)

ETA: Yes it is Monday and in most cases it would be a dreaded day. However, I took a rare vacation day on Friday this week and my company give president's day as a holiday so I have a 4 day week this week followed by 4 straight days off! I decided to skip the "Monday" feeling and pretend its Tuesday, which is marginally better than Monday...

Great piece Rubi!! Definitely speaks the truth about Monday, haha! Sometimes I think to myself on Mondays, realizing its Monday and not further ahead in the week. What a wake up call!! Oh well... Hope it goes by fast!! The rat race all over again, wahoo....!

Rubi sounds like you have a dose of cabin fever, running a temperature dealing with employees and clients, constipated with SOS, and doing too much with too little. Cure, go and buy a BCS snow thrower, new rechargeable batteries with XTAR VP 1 charger, and most importantly some Hinderer bling.

All good. No use for Mondays, Winter or Red Lights but other than that.... miscellaneous ramblings of an unquiet mind on the "Front Porch"

Rubi,

Don't get me wrong, I'm the FARTHEST thing from an optimist you're gonna find. My wife lovingly refers to me as her cynical bastard.

That said, Mondays are one day closer to Friday. And with that, beer ;)

Take care my friend.

Rubi, it's nice to know any of us can come here to blow off some steam, ask opinions, look for a safe harbor in turbulent times, utter unadulterated thoughts, and not be judged but accepted. This is what makes the " front porch" so special to me. Carry on just random thoughts bouncing around in this empty cranium.

FO do you have a concussion! Alas I've sent three to hospitals in the last two weeks.....people need helmets! and......I do love the porch! Nice to find familiar company sharing like thoughts!!

No concussion Wowcoop, did have a couple of mean falls walking the dogs, had to break out the Yaktraxs though, hey a concussion would sideline me for a couple of days using the new NFL guidelines. I was at our family farm yesterday and had to trek from the barn to the lone pony in the outside shed with some hay yesterday, boy the snow is deep and adding up! Where is spring already, -9 degrees at 5:28 this morning. I was going to move some snow yesterday at the farm, but it was so cold I couldn't get out diesel tractor started even with the in line heater and a couple of shots of either. Good thing I had my trusty 2004 Jeep Wrangler to open up the driveways at the farm. Here is a picture of the old girl. Nothing fancy, 4.0 liter straight six, 5 speed, western plow with heavy lugged winter tires.

The picture was taken early winter with first thaw, now there are 6 to 7 foot snow banks everywhere and running out of space to push snow.

Wow Joe! That's some cold and snowy stuff you're dealing with. Not here we have 45-50 degree weather lately. I think that warm front from Shane moved to Utah... Crazy! I wish we had some more snow we need it. Another drought winter it looks like. By who knows.... Things can change pretty rapidly!

Nice jeep Joe!! Or should I say Jeepin Joe :D

Nice jeep brother. Always wanted a 5 speed "nothing fancy" wrangler to help out around the house for anything I need to do. I've never been a big truck guy (been driving a 1992 honda prelude 5 speed for the last 6 years!), but I've always admired the wrangler. Nice!

prelude92 you must be impressed with your ride to use it as a user name. I bought a couple of Honda's Accords for my kids when they were in college, they "drove them like they stole em", put a couple hundred thousand miles on each one without any major issues, then I used one for a beater for a few years until it finally gave out.
