Out of reach folders

I´m not on such a high level than you guys... for me the out of reach folders are CRK Knives in general. Just too much money but incredible great looking knives.

Im sort of in that spot, my most expensive knife is a $45 leek, but for me i am capable off getting a $300 knife, its just that i have other things i am saving up for and purchase regularly, for me my "just" out of reach would have to be the ZT0200, with a deal i made with my dad, i am literally weeks away from it, but my constant hunger for it makes it seem like years...

Criss reeve sebenza, spyderco para-military, benchmade 171 (non-folding), GSO 5.1(non-folding), ZT0200 , ZT0300, ZT0550, lionsteel sr1..........

And VENI VIDI VICI you are not the poorest knife collector in the world because my most expensive knife that I have right now is SAK (spartan).

Those are all great knives that are not too hard to attain because of availability.

You guys need to start checking the For Sale forums here; you'll get amazing deals on any of those knives as they're pretty common at this point on the secondary market (except for maybe the BM 171 & GSO 5.1 LOL!)... Just my humble opinion. ;)

Well I have a few, a sebenza 25 (being that nobody seems to be able to keep them in stock). A Medford Praetorian Ti and finally a ZT 777 and 888

Hahaha even if there would be a ZT0350 for 80$ my parents wouldn´t let me to buy it.

But right now I am getting closer and closer to purchase of my first modern folder (spyderco military or gayle bradley)

A small sebenza with leather inlays. They did a very small run of these a number of years ago. Knock down gorgeous.

Michael Walker, engraved liner lock in bark Mammoth ivory and with a "zipper" constructed 2 steel types blade.

Easy for me. I've had my eye on this one for a couple of weeks, but can't afford to buy it. Sure want to, though. This is Tim Britton's Chocolate Diamonds from his Masters Series. $1800. Gorgeous - and out of reach, at least for now. :(

i. Not claiming to be, also i want a spartan, how well does it open?

Nope but honestly, with the way that it looks and with Chuck's reputation as a knifemaker, it's one of those situations where I wouldn't even worry about it. I know it would be made to high standards, and plus it's so gorgeous that I probably wouldn't actually use it all that often. I know, knives are meant to be used, but that particular one, at least for me, works its way into the realm of art to be shown and admired lol.
It ain't cheap though (obviously) but I remember asking Chuck about that particular piece, and he informed me that a similar one without the scrimshaw is $2500, and the added artwork would cost extra. But that is the single knife I have ever seen that I have ever considered paying such a price for, and up until now I've never even spent beyond $150 for a knife.

ya, i hear ya, I dont know if I would ever spend that much money on a knife, well actually, i would, but only if i was at a certain point in a high paying job where it wouldnt throw me off, but ya, that is definently a beauty.

Anything that costs $100 or more. Knives aren't man jewelry for me.

Nor are they for many users here; a lot of folks depend on their knives for daily use regardless of cost but that's just my opinion.
