Keep in mind, Spyderco as well as many other manufacturers manufactures knives according to production schedules. This is why it seems that some items are not available once in a while. Once the manufacturing quota has been reached, the schedule shifts to another model until that quota is filled. Also, there are no companies that I know of that run production into a 24/7 format. Part of the manufacturing/production game.
 
Well the Gods have smiled on me, I have a Camo/Blk & a Blk/Satin on the way from that HQ place.

They are up to $225.00 on the big auction site,(standard) and slim pickings to boot. I just got a blackG10/satin in the mail today, and now I'm happy with what I payed for it.
 
I'm dying to own a P2 but I can't find a new one anywhere. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to get one?
 
If you are looking for a brand new PM2 check websites daily. Sign up for email notifications on websites that allow it. I checked amazon every chance I had, multiple times an hour. I was able to get 2 from there. They show up randomly and sell out quick. People on here also sell them at great prices but again it sells quick. Ebay also has some but usually overpriced but the question is how much does the PM2 worth to you?
 
Revival29 hit the nail on the head, you just gotta be persistent. I was lucky and bladehq had it in stock when I went on to buy one a year ago. Now I want a second one and it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

Just did searching, look up Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in google shopping, the second site down has the all black in stock, the satin/camo it looks also and the satin/black g10. I'm not 100% sure on the site but it appears they have them. its called bushipower if anyone knows anything on that site.

I just checked out the website but they don't have Paypal. I've never heard of them before and I would be skeptical about giving them my credit/debit info. Paypal always has your covered. Has anyone heard or bought from Bushipower before ??
 
I've extremely income-challenged these days so I have to search long and hard for really good deals. I have done the "check websites frequently" thing but I also realized that the amount of time that I was spending looking for something was not worth a small amount of savings. What I'm saying is that if you aren't constrained to the absolutely lowest price you might be better off pay a scalper's price from someplace that has the knife available rather than spending a lot of time searching in order to save $20.

For instance it seems that there are a good number of the brown models available at reasonable prices vs. the black or digicam models that are going for scalper prices, so for just a few dollars more you could buy a sprint run. OTOH I want the digicam/black model and they are a lot less available.
 
You guys ever check the exchange here on BF?! Been a bunch of PM2's that sold this week. I sold my digicam/satin in excellent cond here this past week. There were a couple satin/blacks that sold here too.
