Where are you?
 
I sent them an email asking about a different model the other day and went ahead and asked about these as well. They said they were delayed at Spyderco, and didn't have a firm ETA yet.

I keep hearing that patience is a virtue, and delayed gratification is where it's at... ;)
 
This is exactly why Spyderco doesn't give release dates. Things happen and delays occur. There could be a delay in materials, a machine could have gone down, the steel may take longer to grind than anticipated, or they arent happy with the heat treat and figuring out a more optimal one. Who knows but I'm sure everyone would rather them take their time than rush things. If it weren't for this thread I would never think about it. Of coarse I have probably 60 NIB Spydercos along with my users so another knife isn't a real big deal at this point. Maybe if I only had one or two I would be a bit more anxious.

Maybe pull out your users and clean them up and see how sharp you can get them to help pass the time.
 
I have been curious because one I ordered is a gift for someone dear to me. Maybe it will arrive before his birthday; I hope so.
 
As long as I get it in the next few months it's all good. Not like I don't have enough knives already to play with. Anticipation is part of the fun for me.
