I sure lover Carpenter Steel on my SpydiesI love the CTS-XHP PM2 and ESPECIALLY love the brown CTS-XHP Military (I have one with a Ti framelock side!). I just picked up a grey CTS-20CP Para Sprint which I love. The Techno in XHP is great. And after handling the Southard Flipper in person, which has XHP as well, I am SOOOO excited for that knife. It's on another level for Spyderco. We all know that their Taiwan factory can make some outstanding knives, but this thing is just insane. It felt like a custom. It felt like a REAL Brad Southard knife. The thickness of the Ti, the nice stonewash, the texture of the G10, the lock geometry, just everything about it. I already have to say it's my favorite Spyderco ever made, and I'm a HUGE Military, Paramilitary, and Gayle Bradley lover. The flipper is just beyond amazing, though. I'm so glad their using one of my favorite steels too, CTS-XHP (or is it 204P like the YT video says? Either way, love how Spyderco does CTS). Cannot wait for that knife, and I'd honestly pay more than $300 for it, and yes, even from Taiwan.
Any updates?
The vendor told me this week that there has been no word from Spyderco as to a delivery date.
Edit: I don't think I am betraying any confidences by noting that Mr. Sal said it would be a while, that they were "really behind" on the Para 2 production and were expanding the production facility 15,000 square feet next year. I'm in no hurry for the green Para 2. It will just be a nice surprise some day when it happens.
Guessing that there have been no developments since the last post less than two weeks ago...
This is my first time preordering a knife, when it comes in stock do they automatically charge my credit card? Or do I have to pay for it manually? Don't want to miss it...
This is turning into a joke. Hope it doesn't mean the Southard flipper is going to be delayed this long - I preordered both but only plan on keeping the Southard.
What? A joke? If you only plan on keeping one, the cancel the other...problem solved. Delays happen, that is exactly why companies in general do not provide release dates. People tend to release blood curdling screams of rage when they aren't met.

I'm surprised they didn't give up and just make it with M390 or something like that rather than keeping the customer (KW) waiting.
