What's broken with this Snark could probably be fixed with washi tape...it's only a scratch, really...

I will offer up my Cam Machax as a passaround. Maybe somebody can get that 1/4 inch Pig to chop!!!!

Had to do a bit of re-profiling on my Brute, too....I swear the edge came factory at, like, 70° - 90° > . ... couldn't even get it to stick in my spongy old chopping stump, which is like the....ok, forget the analogy: that stump'll let any tool bury its edge - except the Brute's. Started here, at about 80-85°:

And ended up, well...usable. Actually feathers ok, and cuts - a lot less like a splitting maul. But I had to take a metric $#!+ ton of steel off to get it there. Not that it wasn't totally worth it - I didn't get it to safekeep.

the Cam one needed a bit of reprofiling and it should be nice, as long as it's not thinned out too much.

SO much steel on the "edge"....it'd be hard to thin it too much. Unless you're an AR sort of glutton for punishment, maybe. I stopped taking off steel because I was tired - and the thing was behaving in a proper knife-like manner. Which it was not when it came out of the box. So...I got lucky.

Thanks GSM that's incuraging. I'm getting tired of working it down also. But I'm stubborn. And I want it to chop for sure. It will get there and I will appreciate it even more after all the time and effort

Neighborhood got hit with an EF3 tornado Monday night. Spent all day yesterday with a chainsaw. Sore arms, back and legs! Was gonna bust out the BK21, but it was a little undersized for the task at hand. So had to pull out the Husqie chainsaw. This is down the street from us:

Sorry to hear that Jonny. I don't know what I could do to help but I will offer. If there is anything I can do to Help a Brother I will. Smoke with Prayers inbound.

That's brutal. Be safe down there.

We're battening the hatches for storm #4 up here in New England. I'm hoping everything that was gonna fall over already has. :-/

Which 'The Island' is that? I live in Rhode Island, so lots of 'em between Manhattan and The Cape! (Cod, not Canaveral)

Wow! Very sorry for that to have happened to your neighborhood. But I'am very glade to hear that you and MTM are ok  didn't realize the Toronto's were so close :(

Thanks my friend. That is the most important thing, is that there were no fatalities. Not sure what's going to happen at Jacksonville State now, whether classes will continue or what. I feel sorry for the kids that are in those dorms destroyed.

Thanks Aiki. We are fortunate for sure. We thank the good Lord above!

These are some pics my wife and I snapped walking down our street yesterday morning:
