Just wanted to share what I'm up to recently, I'm making a set of custom moon glow scales for a G10 dragonfly for my very good friend Lionesser, obviously far from being complete, just a little tease, I should have them finished up by the weekend and will post some better photos then.

Lionesser thanks for all you've done for me! (and whetstone too even tho IDK what exactly your responsible for, whatever it is/was thank you both!)

(this is just a mock-up, these are mounted the same as factory, not just glued on, they're no holes in them in this pic but they have them now)

looking great.. kinda wish I could have my G10 DFly look like that

Does anyone on here do bead blasting? If so I have a pair of adamas scales that could use it. Not sure if it's ok to request, but that would be awesome!

This reminds me of a great opportunity I have to pay some labor forward. I have a blast cabinet loaded with glass bead and walnut shell and I'd be glad to blast scales etc for anyone. I've been hesitant to offer lately due to a "payroll glitch" at work and no paycheck for 2 months now. However if anyone wants to cover return shipping I'd be happy to help out.

I got it apart & back together with minimum cussing,but for some strange reason I always end up with extra parts after putting things together.

HUGE Email sent, hahaha, if it doesn't display correctly there are 2 blue poles, used in the rainfly to form an arch over the front and back. There are brass grommets that they fit into, in the webbing of the rain fly.

My fellow W, i have received the arrows! Thank you very much!! I tested them out to make sure they are long enough and they seem to be fine for my draw. The point sticks out just a bit when i pull it back.

Thanks to an anonymous PIF champ I have two things to pay forward:


1- Free glass bead blasting service for your Ti scales, scratched blade, whatever needs to be blasted. This should be claimed if you have been mentally and/or physically collecting a pile of items that need refinishing and would love to have them blasted but no means/cash to get it done. Originally mentioned by Pete3, can add one more person too.

2- Usual PIF honor system rules: claim this if you rreeaaaly want it and you know you deserve it!
Spyderco Tenacious OD Green Sprint Run- MOVED TO PIF!
Used, originally serrated. Reprofiled on my 1x30 and acid etched/stone washed with pattern as seen, then sharpened to 30* inclusive on Wicked Edge. Clip stonewashed. Not perfect, but certainly unique. Good centering and lockup. In original box with papers etc

I'll log back in in the AM and let's decide who gets what.

This post is an extremely exuberant "thank you" to a member who (I think you guys already know this, but it deserves to be said) exemplifies the PIF thread. Lionesser posted about a leatherman mini tool, which I inquired into, but which went to a member who had a more dire need for it (which I am glad of). However, purely out of sincere generosity, Lionesser informed me that I had a package coming. Today I got this Leatherman Squirt PS4:

I'd like that Tenacious. And in turn I'd like to pay forward a Becker Necker I got recently from Iceman. I thought I'd like the handles the second time around (had one before, long ago) but don't. I'll post pics in a sec.
ETA: Here is a photo. As you can see, the coating has been stripped (a few small spots remain), and as a result, the sheath fits a bit loosely now. Something that can be taken care of by some heating and reshaping, no problem. I wish I liked the handles better, but the Izula is just so much more comfortable, I think I'll go that route.

Not to sway off topic (though it IS knife related), Is something like that doable for a ZT0350? I love the thought of GITD grips, especially when I drop my blade at night
