It's not necessarily gone, he said he'll decide in the AM who it goes to. So you might get it yet! As far as the Becker Necker goes, it's yours. Send me a shipping address, and I can get it out tomorrow.

This reminds me of a great opportunity I have to pay some labor forward. I have a blast cabinet loaded with glass bead and walnut shell and I'd be glad to blast scales etc for anyone. I've been hesitant to offer lately due to a "payroll glitch" at work and no paycheck for 2 months now. However if anyone wants to cover return shipping I'd be happy to help out.

Jake - Thank you for the chance, but since we have both contributed and Raindog was the first to claim, I believe it should go to him. It's only fair, he was faster to the keyboard than I was.
He will likely get more use out of it than I would, I was probably going to give it to my fiance as her first Spyderco. She says she doesn't like them because of the hole in the blade, but if she got one that was unique and actually used it, I believe she would change her mind. =] Lol.
I'll probably give her my Spyderco Grasshopper instead(she actually thinks this one is cute). =]

And I claimed the Becker and think that I will get some use out of it, so that's great.

Sounds good to me! Just make sure that grasshopper does the trick and if not maybe Raindog will grow tired of the Tenacious and send it your way haha.

EDIT: Ok, I just opened the package and realized that these are MANUAL flippers and are 3cr13 not 8cr13mov. For what I paid, it's not a deal breaker and the package actually states these facts. In my excitement I did not fully read the card in the clam pack. I still recommend checking them out.


I just picked this up from the local box store. You guys should check them out, you won't believe the price!

I'm just curious, because I think people are simply filling in the dead spots between offerings so that more people will see the thread and either offer or partake. I don't think the conversation is intentionally drifting, and I don't believe anyone wants to go against the rules.

I was mulling this over too. Perhaps a concurrently running thread in Community, titled "PIF chat thread", with links on either thread to the other one? Something like that?
