Ok guys im done with these threads, im going to end up getting banned here, Its so hard to bite my tongue right now its ridiculous.

Im thankful for the generosity that has been shown, thankful for the great items sent my way and happy to have sent the items i have sent out to you guys, I hope the items i sent serve you all very well in great health. I hope you all have wonderful holidays and stay safe out there.

And here is something to keep this post on track.

As my last post here I will offer up a couple hard drives for laptops, Sir_mike has first dibs as he inquired about them already but i have a couple so 1 more person can claim. They are SATA, but i cant test them so they are "as-is" but i was told they worked fine when i got them, and i have never used them so i dont have any reason to believe they wouldnt work.

Please PM or email me to claim, posting here is fine but without the PM or email i might not see it, because im worried if i keep checking in and seeing stuff like a knife maker with a signature saying he tries not to help people unless its on accident looking for offers in a PIF thread without offering anything up, im not going to be able to control myself.

Thank you to the people who kept this alive so long, and i wish you all the best.

I am still interested in the ones we chatted about but I thought you were looking for trades so to me "selling as is" but not being able to test them makes it hard for me to offer a trade on them. If I was mistaken, let me know as if they are a PIF offering, I would still like them and can test them here!

Thanks!

Email sent about a possible project.

I hope that you return and the anger passes

You can have 1 of them free, no trade needed as a PIF. Im not selling or trading in the PIF thread bud, now im just gifting them.

Sorry to see you go worldwood, but i can understand your frustration. Hopefully you way find your way back here sometime

I wish this thread was about PIF's. I scrolled through a couple of entire pages without seeing a single word of offering or accepting a PIF.

Thanks for your contribution. I'm sure someone can put your opinion to good use.

In the meantime, please take into account that a lot of the people having friendly chats in here are offering items on a regular basis, and more than once people have made their first post in this thread saying that the generous spirit of said thread motivated them to register. Not to mention, a lot of new folks and younger people who can't go out and blow money on knives have had chances to receive some pretty nice items. One guy got basically an entire bike, another a Kelty tent. Someone was gifted a Spyderco Tuff, there have been many Rats and Moras and Opinels, Benchmades and Spydercos, custom scales, resume drafting, shoes and gloves and coats, scopes, mags...I mean I can go on, but really, why come in and make some pointless statement with no basis? Why not get into the whole spirit of things, or else simply not comment?

Serouly tho WW remember how many times I was leaving for good? I think I left the second and the third thread "for good" multiple times lol. Don't sweat it man, who freaking cares about a few idiots... But if you do to you'll be missed, thank you for all you did.

Oh man, how does that grind cut? My only comparison is a Ritter.
My 555 cut great, a fine slicer, I just reground it tho (as in yesterday, posted about it and a pic in the benchmade forum if you want to check it out) but I did it cause of damage to the factory grind, not cause of unsatisfactory performance.

My next offering: a Kershaw Cryo II

I won this in a giveaway here, but I just can't get used to it. I'm getting better using a right-handed framelock (I am very left-handed), but it just isn't for me. Since I won this one, I don't feel right selling it. I've carried it some and flicked it to get a handle on closing a righty knife with my left hand, and might have cut a couple things, but it's basically new.

Got the Cryo II in the mail today and it is awesome :D Thanks again :D

Obligatory knife talk

How does everyone who has received rats feel about them?

Its a smooth knife for sure and definitely sharp now thatbive put my own edge on it, its a laser, the grind lends itself to that.

But the stock edge went dull from simple cutting task, nothing rough, kitchen duty mostly. Just cutting opinions with no chopping baotd , slicing towards the thumb..

Of course the factory edge was kinda toothy and had a burr a mike long but it was very impressive, I felt like I was holding a light saber when I opened it and my 1st inclination was "this will mess you up", again due to the awesome geometry.

Also the coating has begun to wear off from slicing nothing but onions, plakntains, and the occasional package tape.

That's fine with me, its an awesome knife, thanks whet :)

But are the other reviews similar? How has everyone else faired?

I had nearly the opposite experience. I used mine for work, and honestly was borderline abusive (if not full out). It held its edge great, like I had no complaints. And even when I hit rocks chopping the reeds on the bank of the river, I could sharpen it just super easily. If it had a bit shorter blade and less abrupt of a finger choil it would be with me every day. I did break mine, but I literally had to pound it into a log and hit it with another log (unfortunately I tried to mod it so that the finger choil was more comfortable and totally ruined the lock up, so it was useless. I'm still bummed about it, but at least it was an inexpensive knife).

I just received my first Opinel, A sweet brand new No 6.

But i dont recall claiming an opinel, or know who to thank for this sweet knife.

But who ever you are mystery person thank you so much for this unexpected gift, I now see why people like these knives so much, they are light, yet still well made efficient slicers.

Thanks again!!
